Abstract: A rolling bearing arrangement for an anti-locking brake system has a pulse ring with projections directed toward the fixed ring. The surfaces of the projections that activate the pulse generator are cut during the hard working of the bearing ring. The pulse generator is integrated in the rolling bearing arrangement. Thereby, on one hand, tolerance limited operational differences in the amplitude and shape of the pulses are avoided, especially during slow rotational speeds of the bearing ring. Furthermore, external influences on the pulse generator and pulse ring caused by rough roads do not occur due to the hermetic encapsulation of the sensitive components.

Abstract: An electrical connection, preferably for ALS sensors incorporated in wheel bearings, is installed coaxially on the wheel bearing and its side surface. It is equipped, for example, with slip rings which operate in conjunction with the electrical contacts of the ALS sensor which is solidly attached to the wheel bearing. This simplifies the manufacture and handling of the wheel bearing during transportation and assembly. In particular, the risk of damage to the connecting cord is reduced during operation.

Abstract: A spherical roller thrust bearing comprises two bearing rings rotatably guided by spherical roller elements for rotation about an axis. The roller elements are spaced circumferentially apart by a segmented retainer comprising separate retainer segments spaced apart in the circumferential direction. Each retainer segment includes opposite circumferentially facing surfaces engaging adjacent roller elements. Each surface includes at least one projection making point contact with a peripheral surface of a roller at a location whereby the force transmitted between the roller elements by the segments excludes a radially inward force component. The projections are located relative to the roller elements such that the segments tend to hang upon the roller elements.

Abstract: The invention relates to a spherical rolling bearing which comprises an outer ring with a spherical race track, an inner ring, a plurality of rolling elements between the rings, and seals on one or both sides of the rolling elements. The invention is characterized in that the seals are formed with a rim which can be snapped against the spherical race track and kept in an outer ring by means of this rim and a portion which clamps against the side plane of the outer ring. By this design there is no need for the outer ring to be provided with grooves for holding the seals.

This lateral surface section is adjacent to the outside end surface of the flange section of the outer ring. The inner surface of a centering extension is tightly seated on the ring-shaped extension.
Abstract: A coupling mechanism for coupling two elements in a manner providing for transfer of the rotation moment of one element to the other element. The mechanism comprises at least two coupling element (11, 12), each coupling element having a pair of radially outwardly directed spherical pivot portions (11', 12'). The spherical pivot portions of the coupling elements are housed in an intermediate element (8) comprising a continuous inner ring member (10) defining spherical pockets for the pivot portions and an outer ring (9) circumscribing the inner ring. The pivot portions (11', 12') are rotatable at least around their cardioids while being contained in pockets formed in the inner ring of the annular intermediate element (8), such that the one coupling element can swivel in one plane and the other coupling element can swivel in a plane perpendicular to the first relative to the intermediate element (8).

Abstract: An arrangement for attaching running rings to a rotary drum includes straps which hold the bore surface of the rings on a supporting surface of the rotary drum. The straps are circumferentially spaced apart on at least one of the two sides of the respective ring, and each of the straps has an axial projection with a support surface facing an engagement surface of the ring, the support surface facing radially inward. In order to prevent contact wear between the bore surface of each running ring and the respective supporting surface, each engagement surface and/or support surface is inclined toward the axis of the drum, in the direction extending axially outward of the respective running ring. The support surface of each strap is axially adjustable with respect to the engagement surface of the respective running ring, so that the bore surface of the rings can be pushed locally against the supporting surface of the rotary drum by the straps.
