  • Publication number: 20240122671
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for a computerized framework that provides novel mechanisms for arthroscopic applications using real-time blood flow information. The disclosed framework operates by determining a real-time (or near real-time or substantially simultaneous) visualization of blood vessels or perfusion within anatomical structures during intraoperative procedures, and leveraging this determined information for the performance of an arthroscopic procedure. The disclosed framework can enable an arthroscopic camera to see blood flow and perfusion in tissues in real-time, which allows for differentiation of various parts of the anatomy that may otherwise be undetectable.

  • Publication number: 20240115299
Abstract: A targeting system is disclosed. In use, the targeting system is configured to target (e.g., aim, locate, etc.) a fastener opening in a bone plate, more particularly, a variable angled fastener opening formed in a periphery of a periprosthetic bone plate. In one embodiment, the targeting system includes an alignment guide including a plurality of combo-slots for targeting a plurality of openings formed in the periprosthetic bone plate. In addition, the targeting system includes a plug configured to be positioned within the combo-slots formed in the alignment guide. In use, positioning the plug into the combo-slot formed in the alignment guide transforms the combo-slot into a substantially circular hole or opening with a predefined trajectory aligned with one of the variable angled openings formed in the periphery of the periprosthetic bone plate thereby defining a trajectory from the alignment guide to the variable angled opening.

  • Patent number: 11937885
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein relate to improved systems and methods for performing computer-aided surgical navigation using augmented reality. A tracking device having one or more optically detectable points is mounted to a patient via surgical hardware. The detectable points are identified by a sensor. One or more augmented reality marker assemblies that each have an augmented reality fiducial marker or symbol are also attached to the tracking device. A computer system generates augmented reality information and transmits it to a display screen, such as a near-eye augmented reality device, for display thereon. The near-eye augmented reality device also has an image capture device capable of capturing the augmented reality symbols, and thereby determining a three-dimensional orientation associated with the tracking device, augmented reality markers, and a user wearing the near-eye reality device.

  • Patent number: 11931107
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and surgical computing devices are disclosed herein for creating a three-dimensional (3D) model based on a plurality of received two-dimensional (2D) medical images containing patient anatomy and a tracking fiducial. Once the 2D images are received, a determination is made regarding any potential processing steps required to put the images into a standard view. Once the images are processed, a user may modify or adjust various factors. Using the size and orientation of the tracking fiducial a 3D virtual model is created based on a repository of known patient data, such as a bone atlas. The 3D virtual model can then be output to a display device and optionally used to facilitate a surgical procedure. The 3D virtual model of patient anatomy can advantageously be generated more quickly and using fewer resources with this technology.

  • Patent number: 11903575
Abstract: Anchor delivery systems include anchors having a generally cylindrical body with a rail on top for positioning within a delivery device slot. The rail incorporates a side-bulge as a retaining feature which axially extends along a majority of the length of the rail. The bulge interferes with a corresponding hourglass cutout in the delivery device slot to prevent the anchor from stripping out of the delivery device when the delivery device is retracted through tissue. The anchors are symmetrical along a length and width to facilitate loading within the delivery device.
