Patents Assigned to Societe D'Application Generales D'Electricite
  • Patent number: 4240453
Abstract: An apparatus for the treatment of at least one surface of an article conted therein is disclosed. The treatment apparatus comprises a treatment enclosure which includes at least one inlet lock-chamber and at least one outlet lock-chamber with an article transport device extending therebetween. The treatment enclosure includes a solvent dispenser which is positioned with an outlet thereof adjacent the article transport device. Included within the apparatus is a vapor extractor for extracting air-solvent vapors from the treatment enclosure. The vapors extracted from the treatment enclosure are directed through a condenser positioned between the inlet lock-chamber and the outlet lock-chamber. Recycling ducts, communicating with the treatment enclosure and the vapor extractor, are also provided for recycling air, from which the solvent vapors have been substantially removed, toward the inlet of the inlet lock-chamber and the outlet of the outlet lock-chamber.

  • Patent number: 4238889
Abstract: A device for continuously measuring the azimuth and slope of a drilling l includes a gyroscope and an accelerometer station disposed in a container suspended from a cable. The gyroscope and the accelerometer station are mounted on an inner frame pivotally mounted on an outer frame on an axis which is perpendicular both to the axis of rotation of the gyroscope and the axis of the drilling line. The outer frame is pivotally mounted in the container on the longitudinal axis of the container. An angular position detector measures the angular movements of the inner frame in relation to the outer frame. A first motor controlled by stabilization error information delivered by the gyroscope and corresponding to one axis of gyroscope sensitivity rotates the inner frame in relation to the outer frame, and a second motor controlled by stabilization error information delivered by the gyroscope and corresponding to a second axis of sensitivity rotates the outer frame in relation to the container.

  • Patent number: 4233550
Abstract: A numerically controlled stitching machine tool comprises a head and a ta movable in relation to each other along two coordinate axes. The head is provided with a stitching needle and an optical follower placed in an invariable position in relation to the needle and receives the image of a drawing of the pattern when the drawing is placed on the table. The machine comprises, for each coordinate axis, a motor for moving the head and the table in relation to each other along that axis, transducer means for supplying an electrical signal whose amplitude depends on the movement along this axis, for A/D conversion and non-volatile storage, means for controlling the motor from the stored signals bringing into action said transducer and conversion means.

  • Patent number: 4074258
Abstract: A device for reading out the position of a movable member comprising a sc carried by that member and having equidistant coded references. Each reference is different from the others. A stationary optical system forms the image of a portion of the scale on a fixed detector. The detector comprises a linear matrix of photo detectors regularly distributed at predetermined intervals and associated with electronic means which identifies the coded reference whose image is formed on the matrix and reads out the serial number of the photo element on which the leading edge of the coded reference is formed.

  • Patent number: 4049107
Abstract: The invention concerns a printing device or head for a printer or the like nd to a process of making same. The device comprises a plurality of needles each having an electro-magnet and a metal plate associated therewith, a selected needle being displaceable against an information support upon energization of the associated electro-magnet. The electro-magnets are supported in a base. In accordance with the invention each electro-magnet includes a U-shaped magnetic circuit, the base including housings for magnetic circuits. A surrounding, insulating material is disposed between the arms of the magnetic circuit and around the windings of the electro-magnets.
