Abstract: The present invention relates to a haemostatic patch comprising a porous layer based on oxidized cellulose and a neutralized film based on chitosan, said film comprising a free face and a face fixed on one of the faces of the porous layer, and to the method of preparing said patch comprising the following steps: —a°) preparing a porous layer based on oxidized cellulose, —b°) preparing a film based on chitosan starting from an acidic aqueous solution of chitosan, —c°) fixing the film obtained in b°) on one face of the porous layer, —d°) neutralizing the film obtained in b°), —where step c°) can be carried out before or after step d°), characterized in that: the neutralizing step d°) comprises treatment of said film with a neutralizing composition comprising at least ethanol and ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a prosthetic fabric comprising an arrangement of yarns defining at least two faces for said fabric, said fabric comprising, on at least one of its faces, one or more barbs that protrude outwards relative to said face, characterized in that said barbs are covered with a coating made of a water-soluble biocompatible material. The invention also relates to a process for obtaining such a fabric and to prostheses obtained from such a fabric.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a neutralized matrix of non-antigenic collagenous material comprising the steps of:—a) preparing an acidic solution of non-antigenic collagenous material,—b) pouring the solution of a) into a mould in order to form a layer,—c) lyophilizing the layer of b) in order to obtain an acidic matrix of non-antigenic collagenous material, d) sterilizing the acidic matrix obtained in c) with ethylene oxide in order to obtain a neutralized matrix of non-antigenic collagenous material. The invention also relates to the matrices obtained and to surgical implants comprising such matrices.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an implantable film and a prosthesis comprising such a film The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a non porous film intended to be implanted in the human body, said method comprising the following steps: preparation of a first film, called intermediate film, via gelling of a starting solution comprising at least one polymer selected in the group consisting of collagen, glycosaminoglycans, and mixtures thereof, immersion of said intermediate film in an alkaline composition comprising at least one C1-C4 alcohol, drying of the film obtained at the end of the immersing step. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a prosthesis comprising a textile support and such a film.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a knit with outwardly protruding barbs on each of its faces, said knit being obtained by: i) knitting yarns on at least four guide bars, one bar forming a chain leaving one needle free in two; two bars threaded with monofilament yarn generating loops protruding outwards from the faces of said knit; the fourth bar producing the connection between the yarns of the three other bars, ii) thermosetting the knit obtained at i), iii) forming the barbs by melting the loops. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and process for forming medical devices from an injectable composition. The apparatus includes a supply assembly configured to maintain and selective dispense a first precursor and a second precursor, a mixing assembly configured to mix the first and second precursors, and at least one catalyzing element including a transition metal ion to aid in the polymerization of the first and second precursors. The process includes dispensing a volume of the first precursor and a volume of the second precursor into a mixing assembly and mixing the first and second precursors. Abstract: An implant and a process for preparing such an implant are disclosed. The implant includes a mesh including a biodegradable polymeric coating having glass transition temperature of about 26° C. to about 36° C. The polymeric coating includes a first polymeric component including a lactone and a second polymeric component including a polyether. The first polymeric component is present in an amount from about 90% to about 99% of the polymeric coating and the second polymeric component is present in an amount from about 1% to about 10% of the polymeric coating.
