Abstract: Disclosed are valve replacement devices, systems, and methods. valve replacement devices may comprise one- or two-piece systems comprising an adapter body and a valve assembly with leaflets positioned within the adapter body. In two-piece systems, the valve assembly may be removable from the adapter body such that both can be delivered together or separately, and the adapter body may remain implanted while the valve assembly may be removed and replaced (i.e., “revalved”). Also described are devices (such as a delivery catheter device), systems, and methods related to such delivering and revalving the valve replacement. Such delivery methods may include transseptal insertion of a new minimum leaflet structure, and securement of the valve replacement using several securement type (e.g., supra-annular, sub-annular, radial, leaflet securement, etc.). Also described is a braided helical design that mimics the heart's natural movement, and a flange structure for assisting the functioning of the valve replacement.
Abstract: A developing device includes a developing device case, a developer carrier, a regulating blade, a magnet member, and a blade magnet. The regulating blade forms a regulating part. Toner contains toner mother particles containing binder resin and magnetic powder, and silica particles and alumina particles adhered to surfaces of the toner mother particles. The alumina particles has a primary particle size of 150 nm or more and 400 nm or less, and resistivity of 0.1 ?m or more and 2 ?m or less. The developing device can execute a developer removal mode in which the developer carrier is rotated in a reverse direction opposite to a forward direction that is a rotation direction at image forming time, in a range of 1/18 or more and ? or less of an outer circumference length of the developer carrier, so as to remove the developer staying at the regulating part.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an opening/closing member, an arm, a manual feed tray, a wire, and a tension mechanism. The opening/closing member is rotatably supported by an apparatus body about a lower end portion thereof. The arm restricts an opening angle of the opening/closing member with respect to the apparatus body. The manual feed tray is rotatably supported by the opening/closing member about a lower end portion thereof. The wire has one end fixed to the arm and another end fixed to the manual feed tray and supports the manual feed tray when the opening/closing member is rotated downwardly in a state where the manual feed tray is rotated downwardly. The tension mechanism absorbs a slack of the wire.
Abstract: A method of detecting a state of a lipid membrane in a cell of a nanopore based sequencing chip is disclosed. A lipid membrane is coupled with an integrating capacitor, wherein the lipid membrane is between a working electrode and a counter electrode. An alternating current (AC) voltage is applied to the counter electrode. A voltage across the integrating capacitor is periodically sampled by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). A change in the sampled voltage across the integrating capacitor in response to an intermediate change in the AC voltage is determined. A state of the lipid membrane is determined based on the determined change in the sampled voltage across the integrating capacitor in response to the intermediate change in the AC voltage.

The aforementioned plural diamond nitrogen vacancy centers include diamond nitrogen vacancy centers arranged in directions of predetermined plural axes among four axes that indicates four connection directions of carbon atoms in the diamond crystal; and the aforementioned magnetic resonance member 1 is arranged in a direction that provides a substantially largest sensitivity of the measurement target magnetic field in the diamond nitrogen vacancy centers arranged in the predetermined plural axes.
Abstract: Apparatus and method for tool mark free stich bonding. In some embodiments, a method for wire bonding can include feeding a wire through a capillary tip and attaching a first end of the wire to a first location, thereby forming a ball bond. The method can further include moving the capillary tip towards a second location while the wire feeds out of the capillary tip. The method can further include attaching a second end of the wire to the second location while preventing contact between the capillary tip and the second location, thereby forming a stitch bond without a tool mark at the second location.
Abstract: A postprocessing device includes a processing tray, a first transport roller, a second transport roller, a sidetrack, a sidetrack roller, and a controller. The controller shunts a preceding recording medium to the sidetrack by rotating the sidetrack roller, determines, on a basis of a length of the preceding recording medium in a transport direction, a timing to stop the rotation of the sidetrack roller such that, when the sidetrack roller is made to start rotating at a predetermined timing to start, a leading edge of a following recording medium transported by the second transport roller becomes aligned with a leading edge of the preceding recording medium, stops the rotation of the sidetrack roller at the determined timing, and transports the preceding recording medium with the following recording medium stacked thereon, to the processing tray, by rotating the second transport roller and the sidetrack roller at the reference timing to start.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus (100) includes a photoelectric conversion portion (24) that receives light reflected by a document sheet and outputs an electric signal based on the light, a posture adjustment portion (400) having an operation shaft (34) rotatable about a first axis (AX1) and that adjusts a posture of the photoelectric conversion portion (24) according to rotation of the operation shaft (34), and a stimulus output portion (402) that outputs a stimulus perceivable by an operator of the operation shaft (34) each time the operation shaft (34) is rotated by a predetermined specific angle.

Abstract: A dual reclaim coil with a smart control application is provided that allows the refrigerant inlet to the HVAC unit switch between the two sides of the condenser is aimed to use the high temperature and pressure of the condenser/gas cooler outlet while a CO2 refrigerant system is operating above critical point. This occurs in hot ambient conditions, when the need for heating in the space is not as great as in the wintertime and the available heat at the condenser/gas cooler's outlet is sufficient to satisfy the heating load. This also mitigates space overcooling, while increasing the CO2 transcritical system's efficiency by subcooling the refrigerant for applications involving dehumidification HVAC systems which often results in a phenomenon called “overcooling” during the dehumidification season.

Abstract: A processor determines an image defect in a test image obtained through an image reading process performed on an output sheet output by an image forming apparatus. The processor creates an image to be processed including a horizontal line, extending in a horizontal direction, extracted from the test image. Furthermore, the processor determines the presence or absence of at least one periodicity set in advance in a vertical direction in the image to be processed and determines the cause of the horizontal line according to the determination result on the periodicity.
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods for allowing users to specify interactive graphical designs are provided. The graphical designs can comprise multiple dimension versions—such as a tablet dimension version or a phone dimension version. Some of the methods involve an inheritance structure that defines a first dimension version of the design as a child of a second dimension version of the design. Specifications for properties of widgets in the graphical design are applied to the design in accordance with the inheritance specification. Some of the methods involve an inheritance characterization that determines how properties of a widget are affected by the inheritance structure across different dimension versions. Some of the methods involve an existence property for the widgets.
