  • Patent number: 12128681
Abstract: A temperature sensor detects temperature of ink to be supplied to a plurality of nozzles. When, upon receiving a print request, a detection temperature detected by the temperature sensor is lower than a reference temperature, a control portion executes a preliminary vibration control to cause an ink meniscus oscillation to occur in each of the nozzles by vibrating the piezoelectric elements, and after the detection temperature increases up to the reference temperature, executes an ink ejection control to cause the ink to be ejected from the nozzles by vibrating the piezoelectric elements in correspondence with an output target image of a print request. When, upon receiving the print request, the detection temperature is higher than the reference temperature, the control portion executes the ink ejection control without executing the preliminary vibration control.

  • Patent number: 12129588
Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket that is rotatably mounted within a wash tub and that defines a wash chamber for receiving a load of clothes. A camera assembly is used to monitor articles for washing within the wash basket. Specifically, a controller of the washing machine appliance uses the camera assembly to obtain a reference image and one or more test images, which utilize image recognition to assess turn-over of the articles for washing during a given wash cycle. When turn-over performance is inadequate, a controller may adjust one or more operating parameters of the wash cycle to improve performance. Turn-over performance of the wash cycle is determined to be adequate once the image recognition process fails to find adequate correlation between the reference image and the test image a predetermined number of times.

  • Publication number: 20240351330
Abstract: The inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head, a cap member, a humidifying part for humidifying interior of the cap member, a cap moving mechanism, a controller, and a storage part. The storage part has stored a non-capping period table in which a number of vibrations of ink level within each nozzle is increased based on a non-capping period of an ink ejection surface, and a capping period table in which the number of vibrations is decreased based on a capping period of the ink ejection surface. In response to respective lengths of the non-capping period and the capping period from an end of ink ejection until a start of next ink ejection, the controller sets the number of vibrations at a start time of next ink ejection by using the non-capping period table and the capping period table.

  • Publication number: 20240353783
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, an exposure device, an image density sensor, and a control portion. The control portion can, by adjusting the development voltage based on the image density of a reference image and the amount of exposure from the exposure device, perform image density correction to adjust the image density. The control portion predicts the toner charge amount based on a formation condition of the reference image and the image density of the reference image and determines the timing of performing the image density correction next time based on the rate of change of the toner charge amount calculated using a first toner charge amount predicted when the image density correction was performed last time, a second toner charge amount predicted when the image density correction is performed this time, and the interval between the image density correction performed last time and this time.
