Abstract: A device diagnosis system includes an image forming apparatus, a portable terminal device, and an abnormal noise decision device. The portable terminal device collects an operating sound of the image forming apparatus, at a sound collecting position selected from a plurality of predetermined sound collecting positions relative to the image forming apparatus. The abnormal noise decision device (a) identifies a decision criterion corresponding to the sound collecting position, and (b) decides whether the operating sound contains an abnormal noise, on a basis of acoustic data of the operating sound collected, in accordance with the decision criterion identified.

Abstract: An image forming system includes an image reading device which reads an image of a sheet conveyed along a conveyance path. The image reading device includes a reading sensor and a moving mechanism. The reading sensor optically reads the image. The moving mechanism moves the reading sensor to a reading position closer to the conveyance path and readable the image and a non-reading position separated from the conveyance path farther than the reading position.

Abstract: A conveyance device includes a supply tray, a body, a linear conveyance path, a folded conveyance path, and a straight path discharge portion. The supply tray supplies a sheet. The sheet is supplied to the body from the supply tray. The linear conveyance path is provided in the supply tray and the body. The folded conveyance path branches to one side from the linear conveyance path. The straight path discharge portion branches to the other side from the linear conveyance path and conveys and discharges the sheet from the linear conveyance path through a straight path. The straight path discharge portion includes a conveyance guide that guides movement of the sheet conveyed by the straight path discharge portion. The conveyance guide is detachable from the body.

Abstract: A predictive model for equipment fail modes. An anomaly is detected in a collection of trace data, then key features are calculated. A search is conducted for the same or similar anomalies having the same key features in a database of past trace data. If the same anomaly occurred before and is in the database, then the type of anomaly, its root cause, and action steps to correct can be retrieved from the database.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a recording head including a plurality of nozzles that each eject a liquid droplet to a recording medium, the nozzles being arranged in an array, a transport device including an endless belt that transports the recording medium toward an image forming position where the recording head forms an image, a plurality of through holes formed in the endless belt, to be used for a flushing operation, a liquid droplet receptacle that receives a flushing liquid droplet, which has been ejected from the nozzle and passed through the through hole, without being involved in image forming, a skew detection device that detects whether the endless belt is running straightly or skewing so as to shift in a belt width direction, and a levelness adjustment device that adjusts levelness of the transport device.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention provide methods, systems, and/or the like for: (1) receiving first imaging data from a first imaging device, the first imaging data comprising infrared imaging data for at least a first portion of an article of manufacture during a manufacturing process; (2) deriving moisture profile data from the infrared imaging data the infrared imaging data; and (3) providing the moisture profile data to a quality control system for use in cross-direction and machine-direction control. In some aspects, the first imaging device may be placed in any suitable location along a papermaking or other manufacturing process to provide real-time, full-width moisture profiles of a paper web at any location in the process. They system may be utilized at papermaking startup and implemented to optimize paper machine dewatering on a component-by-component basis.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a drum unit, a developing unit, a developing roller bearing, a guide portion, and an urging portion. The drum unit includes a photosensitive drum. The developing unit includes a developing roller. The developing roller bearing supports the developing roller and can move radially and rotate axially with respect to the developing unit. The guide portion is formed in the drum unit and guides the developing roller bearing in directions toward and away from the photosensitive drum. The urging portion urges the developing unit in such a direction that it presses the developing roller against the photosensitive drum. The developing unit includes a restriction portion that restricts the rotation of the developing roller bearing with respect to the developing unit within a predetermined range.

The device control-file watchdog program protects the one or more device control-files and additionally can report on all activities performed by the computer device to the central database.

The battery case has a pair of rectangular wide surfaces and four rectangular side surfaces between the pair of wide surfaces. The electrode body is accommodated in the battery case, wherein rectangular surfaces of the electrode body face the wide surfaces of the battery case. The battery case is provided with protrusions inside, and the protrusions are in contact with at least a part of a central region including a center line in the long side direction of the rectangular surfaces of the electrode body accommodated in the battery case.

Abstract: Systems and methods relate generally to device code flows. In an example, a method relating generally to a device code flow is disclosed. In such a method, a personal identification code is generated by a server responsive to input of a user code and associated credentials from a first user device. The personal identification code is sent to a second user device different from the first user device. Input of the personal identification code via the first user device is requested. A challenge is generated using the personal identification code.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining data measurements associated with plants in at least one growing area. The data measurements are associated with one or more characteristics of the plants and one or more characteristics of the at least one growing area. The method also includes processing at least some of the data measurements to identify one or more anomalous plant production issues associated with the plants. At least one anomalous plant production issue is associated with uneven production by the plants in at least part of the at least one growing area. The method further includes generating at least one visualization presenting at least some of the data measurements or processed versions of at least some of the data measurements in a spatial manner that corresponds to the at least one growing area. The at least one visualization identifies information associated with the one or more anomalous plant production issues.
