Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for the making safe of a handgun. A safety system includes a lock mechanism coupled to an engagement member and a user interface. The engagement member is movably coupled to the handgun and includes a contact face that is in contact with the slide of the handgun. The engagement member transfers a portion of a force to the slide and moves between a lock position and an unlock position. The lock position corresponds to a separation distance between a distal end of a primer actuator of the handgun and a primer activation plane. The engagement member is configured to transition between the lock position and the unlock position while remaining movably coupled to the handgun. Movement of the engagement member from the lock position is restricted by the lock mechanism until disengaged via the user interface.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide systems and methods to streamline the mechanism by which data users access differently regulated data through the use of one or more integrated identifiers. The integrated identifiers lessen or eliminate the need to separately maintain one set of identifiers for regulated data and another set for non-regulated data. The methods and systems may be applicable in various credit and healthcare contexts where regulations over data use are prevalent. In one or more embodiments, a data user receives a unique integrated identifier for each of the data user's current or prospective customers, and the integrated identifiers can be used to persistently identify and track the customers over time and across applications that access regulated and/or non-regulated data. In the healthcare context, a healthcare provider may utilize a patient ID as the integrated identifier. To protect privacy, the integrated identifier may not include social security numbers or birthdates.

Abstract: A harvester that determines whether edible crowns are ready to be harvested and selectively harvests the edible crowns that are ready for harvesting. The harvester may include sensors, such as an imaging system, for detecting the edible crowns of individual broccoli plants. Image data from the imaging system may be provided as an input to a machine-learning model to determine a maturity (or immaturity) of the edible crowns. If the edible crowns are ready for harvesting, mechanical pickers harvest the edible crowns. For example, the harvester may include robotic arms having end effectors that cut the edible crowns from a remainder of the broccoli plant. The harvester may be configured to continuously harvest the edible crowns as the harvester moves about a field. In some instances, the harvester may include any number of robotic arms for harvesting the edible crowns across multiple rows of broccoli plants.

Abstract: A system and methods for mobile device active callback prioritization with predictive outcome scoring, utilizing an enhanced callback prioritization engine operating on a user's mobile device for integration through the operating system and software applications operating on the device, wherein the enhanced callback prioritization engine receives intercepted data or voice messages sent to the mobile device, retrieves and aggregates data related to the assigned messages, inputs the assigned data message and aggregate data into prioritization model wherein the prioritization model may analyze the input data, the results of the analysis may be used to compute a priority score for the assigned data message. An outcome model may be present and configured to produce outcome scores for a callback recipient based on the context of the data or voice message. System generates a callback list from the computed prioritization score and outcome score.

Abstract: A system, as well as associated methods, for increasing the efficiency of a gas turbine including an inlet assembly and a compressor may include a housing configured to channel airstream towards the inlet assembly, an air treatment module positioned at a proximal end the housing, and at least one air conditioning module mounted downstream of the air treatment module for adjusting the temperature of the airstream entering the compressor. The air treatment module may include a plurality of inlet air filters and at least one blower configured to pressurize the air entering the air treatment module.

Abstract: A hazard visualization system that can use artificial intelligence to identify locations at which hazards have occurred and a cause therein and to predict locations at which hazards may occur in the future is described herein. As a result, the hazard visualization system may reduce the likelihood of structural damage and/or loss of life that could otherwise occur due to natural disasters or other hazards. For example, the hazard visualization system can train an artificial intelligence model to predict the date, time, type, severity, path, and/or other conditions of a hazard that may occur at a geographic location. As another example, the hazard visualization system can train an artificial intelligence model to identify equipment or other infrastructure depicted in geographic images.

Abstract: A system and method for managing virtual queues. A cloud-based queue service manages a plurality of queues hosted by one or more entities. The queue service is in constant communication with the entities providing queue management, queue analysis, and queue recommendations. The queue service is likewise in direct communication with queued persons. Sending periodic updates while also motivating and incentivizing punctuality and minimizing wait times based on predictive analysis. The predictive analysis uses “Big Data” and other available data resources such as schedule data and historical throughput data for various resources associated with an entity, for which the predictions assist in the balancing of persons across multiple queues for the same event or multiple persons across a sequence of queues for sequential events.

Abstract: A communications hub providing a repository of vehicle crash information communicated by a mobile communications device and of vehicle crash data records provided by crash event servicers, in a crash detection, response and reporting system that determines a possible crash event by periodically evaluating (a) changes in a motion signal and (b) crash sound indicators of one or more of (i) motor vehicle glass breakage, (ii) metal folding, (iii) contact thud, and (iv) tires screeching, and upon a failure to respond within a predetermined period to a notice of possible crash event, communicating an identifier and crash incident information to a dispatch center as first notice of loss for dispatching a response servicer and maintaining the repository to facilitate resolution of the claims arising from the vehicle crash event.

Abstract: Systems and methods for modeling a temperature in a thermal package in a lane of commerce using forecast weather data or estimating the actual temperature history in a thermal package using actual weather data. Lane temperature is recognized and used as an intermediate calculated variable derived from weather data. Machine learning techniques estimate the lane temperature to determine a model. Product temperature in thermal packaging is estimated by simultaneously solving a set of heat transfer equations. The above is used to with forecast weather data to calculate a lane temperature and then calculate an expected product temperature based on the time and date of shipment. This product temperature curve is then analyzed with a set of decision rules to improve decision making on when to make a shipment and the best packaging to use.

Abstract: A fishing device includes a net disposed in a body of water containing fishes and a post installed near a perimeter of the net. The post further includes a stem, a cord, and a weight. A portion of the stem is above a surface of the body of water, and the cord is slidably secured to the stem. A first end of the cord is attached to the weight, and a second end of the cord is attached to the net. The weight is configured to move from a first position to a second position upon receiving wireless communication, and the first position is higher than the second position.

Abstract: A mobile tower for transportation to and rapid deployment at remote sites where the mobile tower can be engaged with the ground, the mobile tower including an extendable and retractable tower secured to a mobile support structure including a frame having a plurality of rapidly deployable outriggers, wherein the tower includes three series of pivotally interconnected tower sections or segments, sections or segments of which engage with segments of each of the other series when the tower is assembled; the mobile tower including a plurality of guy wires secured between the extendable and retractable tower and the respective outriggers to stabilize the tower after the tower is assembled. The guy wires are preferably secured to the extendable and retractable tower at first and second connecting positions that are displaced from one another about an outer perimeter. Methods of deploying the mobile tower are also disclosed.

Abstract: A self-expanding retractor is described for placement within the vaginal canal of a post-partum female to aid in performing a vaginal repair. The retractor provides improved exposure and enhanced visualization of an episiotomy or vaginal laceration repair site. The retractor is typically in the form of a foldable, trapezoidal frame defining a central aperture, and includes anterior stability posts at its corners and a panel spanning the central aperture. The panel is typically in the form of a surgical gauze pad for absorbing blood and fluids entering the surgical field. The retractor can be folded by a user for placement within the vaginal canal and then released, which allows it to expand to hold back swollen tissues from obstructing the repair site. The retractor is typically lightweight and compact and is configured to minimize slippage during use.

The method includes calculating a total quantity of the facility claims billed over the time period that indicate a procedure was performed at the facility and a total quantity of the carrier claims billed by the practitioner over the time period that indicate the practitioner performed a procedure.
