  • Patent number: 11624983
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system and method configured for curing non-reactive photopolymer collected by an absorbent blotting material during thermal processing of flexographic printing elements. Uncured non-reacted portions of the photopolymer are removed by contacting the one or more layers of photopolymer with the web of absorbent blotting material at an elevated temperature to soften or liquefy the uncured non-reacted portions of the one or more layers of photopolymer and absorb the softened or liquefied uncured non-reacted portions into the absorbent web of absorbent blotting material. The web of absorbent blotter material containing the absorbed softened or liquefied non-reacted portions of the photopolymer is exposed to actinic radiation from the one or more UV light sources to crosslink and cure the softened or liquefied non-reacted portions of the photopolymer.

Abstract: A system, apparatus, computer program product, and method use a convolutional neural network to auto-determine a first floor height (FFH) and a FFH elevation (FFE) of a building. The FFH, and FFE of the building are determined with respect to the terrain or surface of the parcel of land on which the building is located. In turn, by knowing the FFH and/or FFE of the building on the parcel, it is possible to use that information while performing a flood risk assessment to a property without requiring a personal inspection of the parcel by a human.

  • Patent number: 11612858
Abstract: A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas clean-up and recovery system is provided to remove detrimental exhaust gases from the power plant exhaust and to produce and reclaim various commercial byproducts. A process includes mixing one liquid solution with a solubilizer in a mixing tank containing water to create a chemical reaction therein to produce an ionic solid compound and an alkaline liquid solution. Simultaneously directing the flue gases and the alkaline liquid solution into the wet scrubber to create a chemical reaction therein. The chemical reaction removes various detrimental exhaust gases from the flue gases and captures CO2 gases therefrom, which are chemically transferred into a newly formed sodium bicarbonate solution. The sodium bicarbonate solution exiting the wet scrubber is stored for resale or reuse in the subject process. The process uses various pathways to distribute the sodium bicarbonate for producing other byproducts.

  • Publication number: 20230092982
Abstract: The invention discloses a novel method for constructing a torsional vibration damper where the spring damper system is aligned axially with the axis of the device, and it is put into compression by axially reducing its width and simultaneously preventing radial expansion. The assembly of the torsional vibration damper occurs in two progressive controlled stages by torquing a set of fasteners, thereby minimizing the shear strain on the elastomer during assembly, enhancing structural robustness, modally stability, and serviceability in the field.
