Abstract: Provided herein are methods, compositions, and devices for occluding cavities or passageways in a patient, in particular cavities or passageways in the cardiovascular system of a patient, such as the LAA of a patient's heart. The methods, compositions, and devices can be used to percutaneously occlude the LAA, decreasing the risk of thromboembolic events associated with AF.

Abstract: A method for generating Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) from raw biogas is disclosed, in which carbon dioxide is removed from biogas to generate pipeline specification RNG by a combination of absorption and membrane processes. The absorption process provides for the initial bulk carbon dioxide removal. The membrane process provides for the simultaneous removal of carbon dioxide and water vapors to pipeline specification. The method is characterized by a reduced separation energy consumption as compared to stand-alone membrane and absorption unit separations for biogas upgrading.

Abstract: An adaptive cloud conversation platform capable of making automated decisions regarding when and how to establish on-going communications with consumers so as to maximize the relationship between the consumer and a given brand. The system has a connection management services layer which determines what communications should be established and how they should be established, an initiation management services layer which determines when communications should be established, and a user management services layer which stores information about consumers and brands for determination of when and how communications should be established. Certain of these services have machine learning algorithms incorporated into them trained to perform analyses of the particular type of operation handled by that service. The outputs of each service can be used as inputs to other services, such that a network of machine learnings algorithms is created which determines when and how to establish on-going communications with consumers.

Abstract: A pig cleaning and transportation system is disclosed. Exemplary implementations include a platform with a plurality of apertures; a plurality of securing mechanisms, each mechanism within each aperture and configured to hold a pig and allow it to rotate around its longitudinal axis; a base underneath the platform; and a cleaning element connected to the base and positioned on each longitudinal side of the platform in pressure contact with the pigs on the plurality of securing mechanisms, each cleaning element including at least one cleaning material surface.

Abstract: An apparatus and system for surveillance via an imaging system within an enclosure. The enclosure is capable of being mounted to any number of locations such as light poles, power poles, buildings, awnings, and overhangs. The imaging system is capable of recording to local storage, provide live images or also transmitting lower quality images or video clips based on additional sensors such as motion sensors. The imaging system can transmit the images or video clips over a network connection that can include cellular or other wired or wireless connectivity. The apparatus and system can be powered by any number of sources including AC, DC, solar and wind energy.

Abstract: A wheel-mounted sensor ring is configured to be removably attachable to a hub portion of a railcar wheel of a railcar wheelset for use in determining anomalies associated with the railcar wheel, or a railcar bogie assembly that the railcar wheelset is part of, or a track, during motion of the railcar wheelset on a track. The sensor ring includes one or more sensors, such as inertial measurement units (IMU's), mounted thereto to measure parameters that are used for determining the anomalies during motion of the railcar wheel on the track.

Abstract: A downhole tool includes a body having a rounded or cylindrical surface, at least one relieved space in the rounded or cylindrical surface, and a protuberance within the relieved space. The downhole tool also has a generally cylindrical retaining ring that surrounds a portion of the body. One or more crimple detents are formed in the retaining ring, each crimple detent comprising a portion of the retaining ring that has been deformed radially inward into an underlying portion of the relieved space such that the deformed material of the retaining ring contacts and deforms an underlying portion of the protuberance in the relieved space, thereby joining the retaining ring to the body.

Abstract: A system for securely depositing an item includes: a deposit box with a door configured to provide selective access to an interior space in the deposit box; a lock mechanism configured to attach to the deposit box to selectively block the door from opening; a first proximity sensor operatively connected to the lock mechanism to operate the lock mechanism to block the door or allow the door to open; a second proximity sensor configured to be attached to at least one of: a delivery person and a piece of delivery equipment; a third proximity sensor; and a first transmitter operatively connected to the lock mechanism and configured to transmit a signal indicative of operating information regarding the lock mechanism.

Abstract: Systems and methods to enhance the flow of fracturing fluid into a wellhead during a high-pressure fracturing operation may include providing a pump frame and a crankshaft. A plurality of first plungers may be connected to the crankshaft and may reciprocate in a first plane. The hydraulic fracturing pump also may include a plurality of second plungers connected to the crankshaft and positioned to reciprocate in a second plane. The first plane and the second plane may define a non-zero offset angle between the first plane and the second plane. The crankshaft may include a plurality of crankpins, and each of the crankpins may be connected to one of the first plungers and one of the second plungers. The first plungers may pump a first fracturing fluid and the second plungers may pump a second fracturing fluid different from the first fracturing fluid.

Abstract: Systems and methods to pump fracturing fluid into a wellhead may include a gas turbine engine including a compressor turbine shaft connected to a compressor, and a power turbine output shaft connected to a power turbine. The compressor turbine shaft and the power turbine output shaft may be rotatable at different rotational speeds. The systems may also include a transmission including a transmission input shaft connected to the power turbine output shaft and a transmission output shaft connected to a hydraulic fracturing pump. The systems may also include a fracturing unit controller configured to control one or more of the rotational speeds of the compressor turbine shaft, the power turbine output shaft, or the transmission output shaft based at least in part on target signals and fluid flow signals indicative of one or more of pressure or flow rate associated with fracturing fluid pumped into the wellhead.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a secondary airfoil apparatus, system and method for improving lift, takeoff, landing and aerodynamic performance of a floatplane. The secondary airfoil can be integrated into the floatplane during manufacture, or retrofitted to an existing floatplane after manufacture. The secondary airfoil is itself of sufficient structural rigidity to withstand any and all forces added by the airfoil during floatplane operation. The secondary airfoil is fixedly attached between the floats of the floatplane, and are purposefully not attached to spreader bars that can exist typically between the floats. The secondary airfoil can be arranged at an optimal angle of incidence and vertical lift position relative to the primary airfoil, or wing of the aircraft, and relative to the floats center of gravity and drag for optimal maneuverability of the floatplane.

Abstract: A system and method for intent-based active callback management using enhanced callback objects, utilizing a cloud callback system comprising at least a profile manager, callback manager, interaction manager, media server, and environment analyzer, allowing users to call businesses, agents in contact centers, or other users who are connected to a cloud callback system, and, failing to connect to the individual they called, allow for an automatic callback object to be created, whereby the two users may be automatically called and bridged together at a time when both users are available.

Abstract: A topical nerve activation patch includes electronic circuitry embedded in the patch and electronic circuitry configured to generate an output voltage applied to electrodes. The patch further includes a controller configured to generate a treatment comprising a plurality of activation pulses that form the output voltage, the controller comprising a first real time clock and an oscillator, the treatment comprising electrical stimuli applied to the user via the electrodes. The patch further includes a charge measurement circuit configured to measure an amount of charge applied to the user from the electrical stimuli and a communication link configured to communicate with a remote activation device, the remote activation device comprising a second real time clock. The controller is configured to generate the activation pulses by measuring time intervals using the oscillator and using the second real time clock and the measured time intervals to determine activation times for the activation pulses.

Abstract: A low-profile intercranial device adapted for housing a functional neurosurgical implant in manner providing for convenient and reliable grounding to ensure proper impedance measurements includes a static cranial implant including a base cranial implant member including an outer first surface, an inner second surface, and a recess shaped and dimensioned for receiving a functional neurosurgical implant. The low-profile intercranial device includes a plurality of fluid passageways extending between the inner second surface and the recess allowing for the flow of bodily fluid between an external environment of the base cranial implant member and a cavity defined by the recess.

Abstract: A plunger lift system includes a bumper assembly to reduce the impact of the plunger at the bottom of the well and in some circumstances to reconfigure the plunger for the plunger's next ascent. The bumper assembly has a spring, a mandrel, an impact head, and a flow cage. The impact head and mandrel are constructed from a single piece of material thereby removing a joint between the impact head and mandrel. The unitary impact head/mandrel is connected to the flow cage using a first cooperating shoulder at the lower end of the unitary impact head/mandrel and a second cooperating shoulder within the flow cage. The first cooperating shoulder and the second cooperating shoulder are held in place with respect to each other by a force provided by the spring.

Abstract: A roll-dispensed stock container is provided with fixation strips attached to the body of the container and a cutter assembly attached to a lid of the container. Roll-dispensed stock is secured by the fixation strips when the lid of the container is in a closed configuration and the cutter assembly is configured to separate a sheet of the roll-dispensed stock of a desired length.

The system may include a high-pressure, high power, reciprocating positive displacement pump including a pump plunger, a fluid end block assembly, and a fluid cover. The fluid end block assembly may include a fluid end block body, a suction port, a discharge port, a pump bore positioned in and extending through the fluid end block body, and a fluid chamber positioned in the fluid end block body and in fluid communication with each of the suction port, the discharge port, and the pump bore. The fluid chamber has an open end portion, and the pump plunger may be positioned to move in the pump bore to pressurize one or more fluids in the fluid chamber.
