Abstract: A framework for registering anatomical to functional images using deep learning. In accordance with one aspect, the framework extracts features by applying an anatomical image and a corresponding functional image as input to a first trained convolutional neural network. A deformation field is estimated by applying the extracted features as input to a second trained convolutional neural network. The deformation field may then be applied to the anatomical image to generate a registered anatomical image.
Abstract: A method includes receiving a handwheel angle signal, generating a handwheel speed signal and a handwheel acceleration signal, and synchronizing the handwheel speed signal and the handwheel acceleration signal. The method also includes delaying the handwheel angle signal, calculating a sum of the delayed handwheel angle signal and a phase value, converting the sum of the delayed handwheel angle signal and the phase value to radians, determining an offset correction value by calculating a sine function value of the converted sum of the operator torque estimation signal and the phase value, calculating a product of the offset correction value and a calibratable value of an offset mass magnitude, adjusting the operator torque estimation signal by adding the product and the calibratable value of an offset mass magnitude, and determining whether hands of an operator of the vehicle are on the handwheel based on the adjusted operator torque estimation signal.

Abstract: An antenna alignment device may have a camera that takes a line-of-sight image. For an antenna alignment device directed to a boresight of an antenna, the line-of-sight image is the “view” from the antenna to the surrounding environment. An antenna radiation pattern, based on the antenna type, may be overlaid on the line-of-sight image. A technician and or other user can therefore observe the radiation pattern vis-à-vis the surrounding environment. Therefore, it can be determined during the initial alignment stage, whether the antenna alignment may have to be changed to account for structures and or other blockages in the surrounding environment rather than just relying antenna alignment based on an ideal model site. The overlaying also speeds up troubleshooting as it can be used to provide clear and specific alignment instructions prior to deploying crew to the antenna site.
Abstract: In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides an exemplary method that may include steps of identifying a plurality of entities seeking to interact with each other, analyzing each entity to determine a type of constraint between each entity of the plurality of entities; automatically generating an internal identification token associated with each entity based on stored information; and utilizing the internal identification token to perform at least one action associated with the interaction of the plurality of entities.

One of the pressure spaces is an equalizing pressure space in hydraulic communication with the process gas inlet via a flow line, such that in operation, pressure in the equalizing pressure space is maintained at an equalized pressure with respect to a pressure in the process gas inlet.

Abstract: A method and a system for separating components is disclosed. A process liquid stream, containing a first component and a second component, is passed into an expansion device. The process liquid stream is expanded such that the first component and a first portion of the second component vaporize to form a process vapor stream and a second portion of the second component freezes to form a first solid product stream. The first solid product stream passes out of the expansion device. The process vapor stream passes into a direct-contact heat exchanger against a contact liquid stream. The first portion of the second component desublimates into the contact liquid stream as a second solid product stream. The contact liquid stream and the second solid product stream leave the direct-contact heat exchanger as a slurry stream. The process vapor stream leaves the direct-contact heat exchanger as a stripped process vapor stream.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for tracking disease progression as revealed by multiple lesions perform a global optimization to identify corresponding lesions by overlap, for example, after outlines of the lesions have been morphologically dilated. A clustering algorithm addresses the problem of lesions separating into parts or joining together to provide a clear picture of disease progression.

Abstract: A method and system of training a machine learning neural network (MLNN) in monitoring anatomical positioning. The method comprises receiving, in a first input layer, from millimeter wave (mmWave) radar device, mmWave point cloud data representing spatial positions associated with a medical patient during successive changes in the spatial positions corresponding durations between changes, the mmWave data based upon detecting range and reflected wireless signal strength, receiving, in a second layer of the MLNN, attribute data for the corresponding durations, the f input layers interconnected with an output layer via an intermediate layer, the intermediate layer configured with an initial matrix of weights, training a MLNN classifier using classification that establishes correlation between the mmWave radar point cloud data, the attribute data and likelihood of formation of bodily pressure ulcers (BPUs) generated at the output layer, and producing a trained MLNN based on increasing the correlation.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for beamforming communication systems with sensor aided beam management are provided. Abstract: A method of lining a branch area in a pipeline using an inflatable bladder. The method includes steps of preparing a branch liner with resin and positioning the branch liner in a pipeline, inflating the bladder and running a flow of air and steam through the bladder while monitoring its temperature. After curing of the resin, temperature of the liner is monitored and the bladder is removed only after proper cooling of the liner.
Abstract: An aftertreatment system comprises a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit, a reductant injector configured to insert reductant into the aftertreatment system, a first NOx sensor configured to measure an amount of NOx gases at a location upstream of the reductant injector, and a second NOx sensor configured to measure an amount of NOx gases at a location downstream of the SCR unit. A controller is programmed to estimate an amount of reductant deposits formed in the aftertreatment system based on at least the amount of NOx gases measured at the location upstream of the reductant injector, the amount of NOx gases measured at the location downstream of the SCR unit, and an amount of reductant that has been inserted into the aftertreatment system. The controller adjusts an amount of reductant to be inserted into the aftertreatment system based on the estimated amount of reductant deposits formed in the aftertreatment system.
