Abstract: The present invention is a computer implemented method and system for gathering information from a user related to, filing for, and obtaining government benefits, such as Social Security benefits. The present invention also enables the user to track the benefit application approval process and reminders when certain data or responses are due. There is a feature which enables the user to modify the data submitted for the benefits when circumstances warrant. There is also a decision appeal process feature.

Abstract: A controller for an aftertreatment system coupled to an engine is configured to: in response to receiving an engine shutdown signal, determine an estimated amount of ammonia stored on a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst included in the aftertreatment system; in response to determining that the estimated amount of ammonia stored in the SCR catalyst is less than an ammonia storage threshold, cause flow of a heated gas towards the SCR catalyst; cause insertion of a reductant into an exhaust gas flowing through the aftertreatment system; and in response to determining that the estimated amount of ammonia stored in the SCR catalyst is equal to or greater than the ammonia storage threshold, cause shutdown of the engine.

Abstract: Multi-level envelope tracking systems are provided. In certain embodiments, an envelope tracking system includes a first power amplifier that amplifies a first radio frequency (RF) signal and receives power from a first power amplifier supply voltage, a second power amplifier that amplifies a second RF signal and receives power from a second power amplifier supply voltage, and an envelope tracker including a first modulator that controls the first power amplifier supply voltage based on a plurality of regulated voltages and a first envelope signal corresponding to an envelope of the first RF signal, a second modulator that controls the second power amplifier supply voltage based on the regulated voltages and a second envelope signal corresponding to an envelope of the second RF signal, and a switching point adaptation circuit that controls a voltage level of at least one of the regulated voltages based on a radio frequency power level.

Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for removing acid gases and other impurities from raw biogas streams, such as biogas from landfills or biogas from controlled anaerobic digestion, is disclosed. The method provides efficient generation of high-purity renewable natural gas from raw biogas. The biogas is treated in a multi-stage membrane system integrated with compression equipment. The membrane separation units are arranged into interconnected high-pressure and low-pressure gas recycling loops powered by high-pressure and low-pressure compressors. The combined system provides for the generation of efficient contaminant removal from raw biogas to generate high-purity methane products with reduced compression energy consumption.

Abstract: Solid-state imaging elements are disclosed. In one example, a solid-state imaging element includes a plurality of pixels. A pixel signal line transmits a pixel signal of a pixel, a reference signal line transmits a reference signal to be compared with the pixel signal, a first comparator outputs a first output signal according to the pixel signal on the basis of a voltage difference between the pixel signal and the reference signal, a second comparator outputs a second output signal according to the pixel signal on the basis of the voltage difference between the pixel signal and the reference signal, a first capacitor unit between the pixel signal line or the reference signal line and the first comparator and set to a first gain, and a second capacitor unit between the pixel signal line or the reference signal line and the second comparator and set to a second gain.

Abstract: An adjustable height golf tee system having a tee and an anchor is discussed. The tee is height-adjustable relative to the anchor. A first anchor includes a cap, a stem, and a tip. The stem can be threaded internally, externally, or a combination thereof. A second anchor includes a base, a first stem, a cap, and a second stem as well as optional spacers. The stems can be threaded internally. Both the first and second anchors can be composed multiple pieces (e.g., a detachable cap, a detachable stem, or a detachable portion thereof) to provide access to an inner cavity of the respective stems.

Abstract: A material strip collection mechanism coiling fed material strip on a reel includes a vertically positioned reel bracket rotatable about a vertical axis between a first configuration and a second configuration. The mechanism further includes a first arm holding the reel and a second arm each rotatable to drive the reel and coil the material strip on the reel. With the reel bracket in the first configuration, the first arm is in a material strip collection position to allow the material strip to be coiled on each empty reel held by the first arm to form a full reel, while the second arm is in a standby position to allow the full reel held by the second arm to be replaced with a new empty reel.

Abstract: A dual reclaim coil with a smart control application is provided that allows the refrigerant inlet to the HVAC unit switch between the two sides of the condenser is aimed to use the high temperature and pressure of the condenser/gas cooler outlet while a CO2 refrigerant system is operating above critical point. This occurs in hot ambient conditions, when the need for heating in the space is not as great as in the wintertime and the available heat at the condenser/gas cooler's outlet is sufficient to satisfy the heating load. This also mitigates space overcooling, while increasing the CO2 transcritical system's efficiency by subcooling the refrigerant for applications involving dehumidification HVAC systems which often results in a phenomenon called “overcooling” during the dehumidification season.

Abstract: A system, apparatus and method are presented for facilitating remote wager communications using mobile communications devices while the devices are within range of an authorized lottery transaction device. In various embodiments, lottery transaction devices are equipped with multiple Bluetooth-enabled transceivers, a lottery server manages identifiers associated with the transceivers at each lottery transaction device, and issues an identifier of an available transceiver to a requesting mobile communications device at the time the mobile device desires to consummate a player's desired transaction. Portions of the desired transaction can be communicated to the lottery server separately from the Bluetooth network to limit the time spent by a mobile device communicating directly with the Bluetooth-enabled lottery transaction device. In various embodiments, the mobile device issues a disconnect call to the lottery transaction device directly after the desired lottery transaction has been communicated.

First pads are provided between one of the plurality of first wiring layers and one of the plurality of second wiring layers and second pads are provided between another of the plurality of first wiring layers and another of the plurality of second wiring layers. First vias and second vias connect the first pads and the one of the plurality of first wiring layers and the one of the plurality of second wiring layers together.

Abstract: Antenna arrays with multiple feeds and varying pitch are disclosed. In certain embodiments, a radio frequency (RF) module includes a module substrate, a semiconductor die attached to the module substrate, and an antenna array attached to the module substrate. The semiconductor die includes a plurality of power amplifiers configured to amplify a corresponding plurality of RF signals to generate a plurality of amplified RF signals. The antenna array is configured to receive the plurality of amplified RF signals from the plurality of power amplifiers, and includes a plurality of antenna elements arranged with a varying pitch. Each of the plurality of antenna elements includes two or more signal feeds.

Abstract: Power amplifier systems with non-linear antenna impedance for load compensation are provided. In certain embodiments, a method of power amplification in a mobile device is provided. The method includes generating a radio frequency input signal using a transceiver, amplifying the radio frequency input signal to generate a radio frequency output signal using a power amplifier, and transmitting the radio frequency output signal using an antenna, including compensating the power amplifier for a change in output load in response to a change in signal power using a non-linear impedance versus output power characteristic of the antenna.

Abstract: A scanning laser having a wavelength compatible with a coating binder so as to cure it as the laser scans and irradiates the coating on a moving web. A system and method for curing flakes by providing a scanning laser which scans across a moving coated substrate in a magnetic field allows images to be formed as magnetically aligned flakes are cured into a fixed position. The images have regions of cured aligned flakes. The scanning laser cures the magnetically aligned flakes within it region it irradiates. Alternatively an array of lasers can be used wherein individual lasers can be switched on and off to fix irradiated coating as a moving web is moved at a high speed.

Abstract: A processor determines a cause of an image defect based on a test image that is obtained through an image reading process performed on an output sheet output from an image forming device. The processor generates an extraction image by extracting, from the test image, a noise point that is a type of image defect. Furthermore, the processor determines a cause of the noise point by using at least one of, in the extraction image: an edge strength of the noise point; a degree of flatness of the noise point; and a pixel value distribution of a transverse pixel sequence that is a pixel sequence traversing the noise point.

Abstract: Antenna arrays with separate resonances and termination networks for multiple millimeter wave frequency bands are provided herein. In certain embodiments, an antenna array includes a first antenna element that receives the first radio frequency transmit signal at an input. The first antenna element has a first resonant mode and a second resonant mode. The antenna array further includes a first termination network connected to the input of the first antenna element and a second termination network connected to the input of the first antenna element.

Abstract: A magnetic electrical latch assembly for sensing an electrical contact has a housing for supporting a magnetic electrical contact. The housing has an annular cavity and a cylinder disposed within the cavity. A magnetic electrical contact is attached at one end to the cylinder. The cylinder is movable axially within the cavity. The magnetic electrical contact has an electrical connection to a first conductive wire. The magnetic electrical contact is arranged to couple with an opposing contact pad to create an electrical connection between an external conductor path and the first conductive wire. Also, a magnetic electrical contact sensor system has a hollow enclosure with a detachable access panel. A meandering conductor path cover a portion of the access panel. The conductor path terminates on a contact pad. A magnetic electrical latch assembly has a housing for supporting the magnetic electrical contact within the enclosure.

Abstract: Improvements to a power input circuit of an electric motor drive system are provided. The power input circuit is provided between a power source (e.g., battery), and a load (e.g., an inverter and a motor in the electric motor drive system). The power input circuit can comprise controllable switches for reverse polarity protection and isolation of the inverter under supply short circuit condition. In addition, an improvement to a power input circuit can comprise connection of a power supply (e.g., voltage regulator) to the external power source input side of a reverse polarity protection circuit in the power input circuit to mitigate against microcontroller restart from post-failure shutdown condition. Connection of a low-power diode in series with the voltage regulator also provides for reverse polarity protection.
