The vent sealing cap for a secondary battery may includes a body having a hollow therein, an intake port provided on the body, an exhaust port provided above a position, at which the intake port is disposed; on the body, and an opening/closing member provided in the hollow within the body to open or close connection between the intake port and the exhaust port while moving by a change in pressure of the intake port.

Abstract: A remote location monitoring system identifies a place of interest and a subset of artificial satellites that can capture images of the place of interest within a threshold period. The next available artificial satellite with image sensors that can capture images of the place of interest earliest is selected and the cache heating signal is transmitted to be stored in a cache associated with the next available image sensor. The cache heating signal activates particular image sensors for image capture and enables the transmission of meaningful images that enable monitoring the place of interest.

The sealing may be performed in a non-contact method to minimize the impact on or damage to the electrode assembly other than the portions or regions to be sealed, which is typically caused by physical contact during the sealing process. Moreover, conditions for performing the sealing may be controlled to adaptively secure uniform and stable sealing quality.

Abstract: A technician's progress may be tracked using a location data from a mobile device being carried by the technician. For instance, when the technician undocks a test instrument, such as a handheld meter for measuring leakage signal, the mobile device may be triggered to track and transmit its locations. Therefore, the test instrument-mobile device combination may continuously generate two pieces of information-leakage signal measurement from the test instrument and the location from the mobile device. Both the test instrument and the mobile device may transmit the corresponding pieces of information to a remote server, which may associate the leakage signal measurements and locations. The present system may have a visibility of the location of the technician and the corresponding leakage signal measurement when the technician is outside the vehicle, compared to the conventional systems that are generally blind in these situations.

According to one method, information is input from a mobile device about a specimen sample. The information includes an image of the specimen sample captured using the mobile device including an identifying indicia. The information is uploaded and stored in an encrypted format accessible to authorized and verified users. At least one characteristic of the specimen sample is determined based on the information. Tracking and status information, as well as notifications or reminders, regarding the specimen sample are provided in real-time or near real-time to the mobile device.
