Abstract: A telescope drive bracket for coupling a telescoping actuator to an upper steering jacket, the telescope drive bracket includes a plate including a first end, an opposite second end, and a pair of sides extending from the first end to the second end, a strap retainer formed with the plate and including a reaction wall extending in parallel with the plate, and a strap including a first portion engaging the strap retainer, a second portion extending along the plate, and a bent portion between the first portion and the second portion, the first portion and the second portion extend from the bent portion in a same direction.

Abstract: A packaged radio-frequency device can include a packaging substrate configured to receive one or more components, the packaging substrate including a first side and a second side. The packaging substrate may include a first component mounted on the first side and a first overmold structure implemented on the first side, the first overmold structure substantially encapsulating the first component. The packaging substrate may further include a set of through-mold connections implemented on the second side of the packaging substrate, the set of through-mold connections including signal pins and ground pins, a second component mounted on the second side of the packaging substrate, the second component being located in an area of the second side configured to implement a redundant ground pad or a redundant portion of a ground pad, and a second overmold structure substantially encapsulating one or more of the second component or the set of through-mold connections.

Abstract: A cable bundle taping device adapted to wind a tape on a coiled cable bundle includes a support frame, a conveying device mounted on the support frame and adapted to convey the tape to a standby position, a first driving wheel rotatably mounted on the support frame and having a slot extending radially inward from an outer edge of the first driving wheel, and a tape binding mechanism arranged on a side of at least one sidewall of the first driving wheel near a bottom of the slot and opposite to the tape in the standby position. The coiled cable bundle is bonded to an end of the tape at the standby position and pushed to the bottom of the slot. The tape is wound on the coiled cable bundle by rotating the tape binding mechanism under driving of the first driving wheel.

In an aspect, a composite article comprises a magnetic portion comprising a nickel zinc ferrite. The composite article additionally comprises a non-magnetic portion contacting the magnetic portion, the non-magnetic portion comprising a spinel-structured oxide comprising Mg2-xAl2xTi1-xO4 and having a dielectric constant between about 7 and 14, wherein 0<x?1.

Abstract: Provided herein is a system and method designed for measuring and recording, in three-dimensional space, an attenuation of cosmic-ray induced muon particle flux through a material. The attenuation of the said muons determines density variations in the said material in terms of their density, depth, shape and size. The muon data may be combined with various other data types. The passing muons are detected and recorded by one or a plurality of muon detection apparatus designed to be robust and shock resistant. If needed, each individual muon detection apparatus may be controlled remotely or automatically. The muon detection system may be powered by an energy storage device that may be recharged using renewable energy, aggregate or electric grid. The invention comprises methods steps allowing density characterisation of the material in various dimensions, including those over time.

Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a testing apparatus for coupling with a device-under-test (DUT). The apparatus may include a base portion configured to couple to a testing platform, wherein the base portion is configured to rotate the DUT around a first axis. The apparatus may further include an arm portion configured to rotate the DUT around a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. Abstract: A file management system includes a communication device and a control device. The control device acts as a file manager, a file outputter, an information file generator, and a file merger. The file manager manages various files. The file outputter outputs a file based on a target file among the various files, to outside of the computer via the communication device. The information file generator generates an information file which is a document file containing information linked with the target file. The file merger generates a merged target file, by merging the information file with the target file, when the target file is of a specific file format. The file outputter outputs, when the file merger generates the merged target file, the merged target file to outside of the computer via the communication device, as the file based on the target file.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for re-purposing discarded asphalt shingles as soil stabilizers in building and land surface constructions. Discarded (and typically “degraded”) Asphalt Shingles (DAS) are placed beneath building foundation slabs and parking lots in overlapping patterns to replace a measured amount of removed expansive soil to serve as a moisture barrier. DAS can be utilized beneath parking lots in areas of expansive soils by layering the shingles in overlapping patterns to create a moisture barrier from water intrusion from above or below. Building block system (BBS) units may be produced to facilitate handling and transport of the DAS materials to the construction site.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for an axially adjustable steering column having an adjustment lever, the locking mechanism includes: a locking cam including a hub, an upper arm, and a leg defining a set of teeth, the upper arm and the leg extend from the hub in a same direction to define a space therebetween, the upper arm includes an interface surface facing the leg that interfaces with the adjustment lever to move the locking cam between a locked position and an unlocked position; and a pin extending through the locking cam to allow the locking cam to pivot about the pin between the locked position and the unlocked position. In the locked position, the set of teeth of the leg engage with a set of teeth of the axially adjustable steering column. In the unlocked position, the set of teeth of the leg are spaced apart from the set of teeth of the axially adjustable steering column.

Storage system can be a storage assembly defining a vertical direction, a lateral direction, and a transverse direction, the vertical, lateral, and transverse directions being mutually perpendicular. The storage assembly includes a mounting bracket, a first mounting tab and a second mounting tab extending in the transverse direction from a first end of the mounting bracket. The first mounting tab and the second mounting tab are configured to be inserted into a mounting track disposed within the consumer appliance. The storage assembly also includes a storage receptacle which is supported at a second end of the mounting bracket.

Abstract: Systems and methods relate generally to graphics and image processing by a printing device. In such a method, a graphics orderlist is obtained by a printer engine. The graphics orderlist has at least one imaging issue for printing an associated image. A debug mode is entered for debugging the graphics orderlist. A selection for a debug region is received. A graphic order of the graphics orderlist is executed by a graphic execution unit of the printer engine in the debug mode. The graphic execution unit determines whether the debug region is accessed by the execution of the graphic order. Responsive to the debug region being accessed for the execution of the graphic order, an interrupt is issued. Information of the graphic order and buffer contents associated with the debug region is stored in a log file.

Abstract: A method of detecting a lipid bilayer formed in a cell of a nanopore based sequencing chip is disclosed. An integrating capacitor is coupled with a lipid membrane, wherein the lipid membrane is between a working electrode and a counter electrode. An alternating current (AC) voltage is applied to the counter electrode. A voltage across the integrating capacitor is periodically sampled by an analog-to-digital converter (ADC). A change in the sampled voltage across the integrating capacitor in response to a change in the AC voltage is determined. Whether the lipid membrane comprises a lipid bilayer is detected based on the determined change in the sampled voltage across the integrating capacitor in response to the change in the AC voltage.

Abstract: An imaging device with a plurality of image sensing pixels and a plurality of event detection pixels is provided. The image sensing and event detection pixels can be provided as part of different arrays of pixels, or can be included within a common array of pixels. The event detection pixels are operated continuously to provide signals indicating the occurrence of events. In response to detecting an event, image sensing pixels are selectively operated. The selective operation of the image sensing pixels can include activation of image sensing pixels within one or more regions of interest, while image sensing pixels not included in any region of interest remain off. The selective operation of the image sensing pixels can include the selection of a frame rate applied across an array of mage sensing pixels, or within determined regions of interest.

Abstract: A method and system of training a machine learning neural network (MLNN) in anatomical degenerative conditions in accordance with anatomical dynamics. The method comprises receiving, in a first input layer of the MLNN, from a millimeter wave (mmWave) radar sensing device, a first set of mmWave radar point cloud data representing a first gait characteristic of a subject in motion, comprising an arm swing velocity, receiving, in a second layer, a second set of mmWave radar point cloud data representing a second gait characteristic comprising a measure of dynamic postural stability, the input layers being interconnected with an output layer of the MLNN via an intermediate layer, and training a MLNN classifier in accordance with a classification that increases a correlation between a degenerative condition of the subject as generated at the output layer and the sets of mmWave point cloud data.

Abstract: The subject invention provides materials and methods for preventing, inhibiting or reducing biofilm formation and biofilm infections, in particular, in the respiratory tract of a subject. The invention utilizes growth by-products of beneficial microorganisms to enhance the effectiveness of biocidal substances in the treatment, disruption and/or prevention of biofilms. Advantageously, the subject invention is useful against antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains, such as MRSA, Helicobacter pylori, S. pneumoniae, P. aeruginosa and A. fumigatus.

Abstract: Systems and methods including variable power amplifier bias impedance are disclosed. In one aspect, there is provided a power amplifier system including a bias circuit configured to receive a bias voltage and generate a bias signal and a power amplifier stage configured to receive an input radio frequency (RF) signal and generate an output RF signal. The power amplifier system may also include a bias impedance component operatively coupled between the bias circuit and the power amplifier stage. The bias impedance is component configured to receive a control signal and adjust an impedance value of the bias impedance component in response to the control signal.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for conditioning air using a liquid-to-air membrane energy exchanger (LAMEE) as a pre-dryer, in combination with a direct evaporative cooler (DEC). The LAMEE and DEC can be arranged inside a process plenum configured to receive and condition air for delivery to an enclosed space. The LAMEE can circulate a liquid desiccant to remove moisture from the air, before passing the air through the DEC. As a result, the DEC can cool the air to lower temperatures and improve overall efficiency. In an example, a regeneration system can regenerate at least some of the liquid desiccant prior to recirculation through the LAMEE. In an example, the DEC can use removed water recovered in regeneration as make up water for the DEC. In an example, a liquid to air or liquid to liquid heat exchanger can cool the liquid desiccant, prior to recirculation through the LAMEE.
