Abstract: Apparatus and methods for quadrature combined Doherty amplifiers are provided herein. In certain embodiments, a separator is used to separate a radio frequency (RF) input signal into a plurality of input signal components that are amplified by a pair of Doherty amplifiers operating in quadrature. Additionally, a combiner is used to combine a plurality of output signal components generated by the pair of Doherty amplifiers, thereby generating an RF output signal exhibiting quadrature balancing.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for controlling a detail level of shopping data provided to frictionless shoppers. In one implementation, a method may comprise: receiving image data captured using one or more image sensors in a retail store; analyzing the image data to identify a plurality of product interaction events for at least one shopper in the retail store; determining shopping data associated with the plurality of product interaction events; determining a likelihood that the at least one shopper will be involved in shoplifting; based on the determined likelihood, determining an update rate for updating the at least one shopper with the shopping data; and delivering the shopping data to the at least one shopper at the determined update rate.

Abstract: A power amplifier module can be formed that includes metamaterial matching circuits. This power amplifier module can be included as part of a front-end module of a wireless device. The front-end module can replace a passive duplexer with an active duplexer that uses the power amplifier module in combination with a low noise amplifier circuit that can include a metamaterial matching circuit. The combination of PA and LNA circuits that utilize metamaterials can provide the functionality of a duplexer without including a stand-alone or passive duplexer. Thus, in certain cases, the front-end module can provide duplexer functionality without including a separate duplexer. Advantageously, in certain cases, the size of the front-end module can be reduced by eliminating the passive duplexer. Further, the loss introduced into the signal path by the passive duplexer is eliminated improving the performance of the communication system that includes the active duplexer.

Abstract: Machine learning trains to tune settings. For training, the user interactions with the image parameters (i.e., settings) as part of ongoing examination of patients are used to establish the ground truth positive and negative examples of settings instead of relying on an expert review of collected samples. Patient information, location information, and/or user information may also be included in the training data so that the network is trained to provide settings for different situations based on the included information. During application, the patient is imaged. The initial or subsequent image is input with other information (e.g., patient, user, and/or location information) to the machine-trained network to output settings to be used for improved imaging in the situation.

Abstract: An ammonia generating apparatus comprises a housing comprising a first end wall on which a reductant injector configured to insert a reductant into the housing is mountable. A heating coil assembly is disposed within the housing. A first end of the heating coil assembly is located proximate to a location of the first end wall where a reductant injector tip of the reductant injector is located when the reductant injector is mounted on the first end wall. The heating coil assembly is configured to generate heat sufficient to thermolyze the reductant to generate ammonia and reaction byproducts, in response to an electric current being passed therethrough. A hydrolysis catalyst can be disposed downstream of the heating coil assembly for catalyzing hydrolysis of the reaction byproducts into ammonia.

To obtain an ink limit for an ICC profile, a table associated with the ICC profile is parsed to determine the ink limit. The ink limit is decreased or increased. For an ink limit decrease, a color over the decreased ink limit is adjusted to meet the new ink limit. The ICC profile is updated accordingly. For an ink limit increase, the combination of primary colors are boosted by a percentage amount. Checks are made with regard to the volume-based ink limit and an quality check operation to accepted the boosted amount. The ICC profile is updated accordingly.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery cell that can include an electrode assembly configured with two or more unit stacks connected to each other in series or in parallel, a battery case configured to receive the electrode assembly therein, and an insulative protection member configured to protect an electrode tab portion of the unit stacks. The overall length of the battery case can be three or more times the overall width of the battery case. A positive electrode lead and a negative electrode lead can extend outwards from the battery case protruding in opposite directions. A plurality of unit stacks can be used to implement a long battery cell, and a connection portion at which the plurality of unit stacks are connected is reinforced to improve safety of the battery cell.
