  • Patent number: 11499552
Abstract: A fluid working system such as a pump for displacing a working fluid such as hydraulic fluid or a motor using a working fluid is provided. The system may have a positive displacement machine which includes one or more working chamber with displacement means such as a cylinder with a reciprocating piston. There are also two or more fluid ports to allow the working fluid to flow into and out of the working chamber. The working fluid flows from one fluid port means to another either being forced to do so when pumped or moving the piston when functioning as an engine. The fluid working system has associated therewith a non-dead compliance volume of a material such as syntactic foam. This compliance volume acts to smooth any pressure fluctuations within the working fluid system.

  • Patent number: 11501100
Abstract: A computer system and associated processes are disclosed for grouping similar real estate properties into contiguous neighborhoods, and for generating neighborhood-specific models capable of estimating property values within their respective neighborhoods. A clustering component uses various sources of property-level data to group properties based on measures of property similarity. For example, the clustering component may use features extracted from property images to identify properties with similar characteristics. As another example, the clustering component may measure property similarity based on how frequently specific properties are designated as comparable in appraisal reports. A model generator uses a machine learning process to determine, for specific neighborhoods, correlations between property attributes and values, and uses these correlations to generate the neighborhood specific models.

  • Patent number: 11502747
Abstract: A performance monitor configured to unify at least two different signal-quality estimates into a single performance metric such that a systematic error associated with the performance metric can be approximately constant or smaller than a specified fixed limit over a significantly wider range of data-link conditions than that of a conventional performance metric of similar utility. In an example embodiment, the performance metric can be based on a weighted sum of two different SNR estimates, obtained from an error count of the receiver's FEC decoder and from a constellation scatter plot generated using the receiver's symbol decoder, respectively. Different weights for the weighted sum may be selected for different data-link conditions, e.g., using SNR thresholding, analytical formulas, or pre-computed look-up tables. The performance metric may be supplied to a control entity and considered thereby as a factor in a possible decision to trigger protective switching and/or a transponder-mode change.

  • Patent number: 11501346
Abstract: Customers are identified as they enter a store and linked to one or more items previously ordered on-line. A route through the store to retrieve the ordered items is generated and sent to the customer's mobile device for display. The customer's movements are tracked as he/she goes through the store to retrieve products, and the location of the customer determined whenever he/she selects a product from the shelves. Based on whether the locations of the customer when he/she selected the products matches the predefined locations of the items ordered on-line, the customer is directed to go to one of an audit station or checkout lane, or alternatively, to bypass both audit station and the checkout lane and exit the store. In the latter case, the customer's account is automatically charged for the total cost of the ordered items.

  • Patent number: 11500697
Abstract: A system maintains a knowledge layout to support the analysis of active events and determination of epicenter and aftershock nodes via an event reach stack. At an input layer of the event reach stack, the system may receive active event data. At a semantic layer, the system may parse the active event data to determine event phrases. Based on the event phrases, the system may identify epicenter nodes directly affected by the active event. At an analytic model layer, the system may successively determine aftershock nodes by traversing the knowledge layout outward from the epicenter nodes. The system then directs the response to the active event to the aftershock and epicenter nodes, via action at a focus response layer of the event reach stack.
