  • Patent number: 11861777
Abstract: Computer animation involving monocular pose prediction is disclosed. A plurality of candidate pose sequences of a three-dimensional model of an animation character is generated such that each candidate pose of each sequence has a segmentation map that matches a segmentation map of a corresponding character derived from a corresponding frame of a video. A distance between candidate poses at each time step is maximized. An optimum pose sequence is determined and used to generate a corresponding sequence of frames of animation.

  • Patent number: 11863902
Abstract: Responsive to a zoom command when presenting a first video, a second video is combined with the first video and presented. The first and second videos are generated from substantially the same camera location as each other at substantially the same time with substantially the same resolution. However, the second video is generated by a physical or virtual lens having a field of view (FOV) smaller than the FOV of a physical or virtual lens used in generating the first video. The technique gives the appearance of zooming without loss of resolution.

  • Patent number: 11845006
Abstract: A skeleton model updating apparatus, a skeleton model updating method, and a program by which time and effort for changing the pose of a skeleton model to a known standard pose can be reduced. A target node identifying section identifies target nodes from among a plurality of nodes included in a skeleton model that is in a pose other than a standard pose. A reference node identifying section identifies a reference node that is positioned closest to the side of the target nodes, from among nodes that are connected to all of the target nodes via one or more bones.
