  • Patent number: 7249697
Abstract: An easily and inexpensively manufactured garment hanger of increased strength and durability. The garment hanger comprises a suspension hook secured to a support rib provided at a central hook region of the hanger. Incorporating the support rib through the central hook region of the hanger minimizes twist and other distortions of the hanger, even when under heavy garment loads.

  • Patent number: 7124500
Abstract: A pinch grip hanger mechanism dispenses pinch grip hangers, one at a time, and then opens the pinch grips for insertion of a garment. The insertion of a garment triggers the closing of the pinch grips, and reciprocation of a hanger feed push plate to dispense another hanger. The device may also automatically attach size indicia to the hanger as the hanger is dispensed. The closing of the pinch grips is initiated by safety triggers, which are triggered by insertion of a garment. This provides a safety feature for the device, since the operator needs to use both hands to hold the garment taut for insertion. Thus, both hands are away from the device at the time the pinch grips are opened and closed.

  • Patent number: 7121439
Abstract: An improved pinch grip pant and skirt hanger of reduced depth is formed with an offset between the hanger bar and the mounting of the pinch grip to align the center axis of the hanger bar with the center of the pinch grip, to thereby reduce the depth of the hanger and pinch grip and provide greater density of garments during shipment. Two separate guards are provided to prevent inadvertent opening of the pinch grip by an adjacent hanger, including a moveable guard, formed by arches on the fixed and moveable jaws. Since the arches are formed to contact below the pivot axis of the pinch grip, any contact between hangers will serve to enhance grip, rather than inadvertently opening the pinch grip. The hanger is particularly adapted for magazine feed and the automated loading of garments.

  • Patent number: 7104428
Abstract: An I-beam having a web curved in two dimensions is used to provide an enhanced stiffness to weight ratio for molded plastic hangers. The I-beam includes first and second generally parallel flanges which extend in a longitudinal direction. The flanges are joined by a curved web, which is defined in part by first and second radii of curvature, wherein the radii are nominally orthogonal to each other.

  • Publication number: 20050194412
Abstract: A hanger having a first hook portion extending above a central body portion and has two arms extending laterally outward from the central body portion to distal ends. A locking bar has a first end and is secured along the first arm extending adjacent the first arm to a second end. Additionally, a support bar can be provided having a third end and secured along the first arm extending beneath the locking bar to a fourth end secured along the second arm. A latch is provided between the support bar and the locking bar, adjacent the second end of the locking bar. The locking bar deflects under the weight of the hung article to engage the latch and to secure the hung article between the locking bar and the support bar.

  • Patent number: 6923350
Abstract: An improved pinch grip pant and skirt hanger of reduced depth and elongated grip is formed for gripping garments below the waistband. The pinch grip has an offset between the hanger bar and the mounting of the pinch grip to align the center axis of the hanger bar with the center of the pinch grip, to thereby reduce the depth of the hanger and pinch grip and provide greater density of garments during shipment. • Patent number: 6915931
Abstract: A garment set hanger is disclosed which is suitable for hanging and displaying a set of matched or coordinated garments together, such as a matched set of children's garments. The garment set hanger includes a top hanger which is designed to support a top garment such as a dress or a shirt of the matched set of garments. A flexible bottom hanger of the garment set hanger is designed to support and display a matching bottom garment of the matched set of garments, such as underwear designed to be worn as a matched set with the dress, or matching pants designed to be worn as a matched set with a top sports or T shirt. The flexible bottom hanger is designed to be flexed inwardly to allow the bottom garment to be easily placed on and mounted onto the flexed bottom hanger, such as by an elastic waist band, and then the flexed bottom hanger is allowed to expand outwardly to conform to different size bottom garments.
