  • Patent number: 7143548
Abstract: A flap drive for a flap includes two identical lever joint arrangements which are arranged in pairs at a distance from one another. The flap can be moved out of its closing position into its opening position and back by the flap drive. In this case, the lever joint arrangements are articulated pivotably with one of their ends in each case on a side region of the flap and with their other ends at a fixed location on the motor vehicle. The mutually corresponding pivot axes of the articulation points extend coaxially to one another. Movement transmission devices for the pivotable drive of a driven lever of each lever joint arrangement are guided by a common motive drive unit, the driven levers being articulated at a fixed location on the motor vehicle.

Abstract: A gas spring has a closed cylinder, the interior of which is divided into a first working space and a second working space by a piston, which is free to slide back and forth in the cylinder. The piston has a piston rod, which extends through the second working space and out from the cylinder through a seal. The first working space and the second working space are filled with pressurized gas. A compensating space, which is filled with a compensating medium, is also provided. The volume of this compensating medium changes with the temperature, and this change in volume brings about a corresponding change in the volume of the first working space. The compensating medium is an incompressible medium which expands in volume as the temperature drops, this expansion leading to a decrease in the volume of the first working space.

Abstract: An adjusting device for adjusting two parts relative to one another, has a fixed, sleeve-like housing and an adjusting component which is arranged in the housing and is led with its one end region out of a front-end opening of the sleeve-like housing. By means of a rotary drive, the adjusting component can be adjusted axially relative to the sleeve-like housing by means of a planetary roller mechanism. The sleeve-like housing is arranged in a rotationally locked manner and is provided with a thread on its cylindrical inner wall. The rotary drive is arranged on the likewise rotationally locked adjusting component, this rotary drive having a drive shaft which is coaxial to the sleeve-like housing and by means of which a roller cage can be driven in a rotatable manner about the longitudinal axis of the sleeve-like housing.

  • Patent number: 7066310
Abstract: A piston is guided in an axially displaceable manner sealed off from a closed cylinder via an annular seal radially surrounding it, and divides the cylinder interior into a working space near the piston rod and a working space away from the piston rod. The two working spaces are filled with a hydraulic fluid. The piston has a one-sided piston rod which extends through the working space near the piston rod and is guided in a sealed manner to the outside through an end closing wall of the cylinder. A first valve can be opened under high pressure to connect the working space away from the piston rod to the working space near the piston rod. A second valve can be opened under high pressure to connect the working space near the piston rod to the working space away from the piston rod. A volume-equalizing chamber for receiving the amount displaced from the working space away from the piston rod, which is greater than the amount displaced from the working space near the piston rod.

  • Patent number: 7036422
Abstract: The invention relates to a continuously lockable adjusting device 1, consisting of a fluid-filled cylindrical housing 2, of a piston 4 which is axially movable in the housing 2 and which subdivides the housing 2 into two pressure chambers 5, 6 and is connected to a piston rod 3 which, sealed off at one end, penetrates the housing 2. A locking valve 7 has a closing member 13 and a manually actuable trigger tappet 8 together with a transmission disc 16, a tilting movement of the trigger tappet 8 causing the closing member 13 to be capable of being acted upon axially movably by the transmission disc 16 and causing the locking valve 7 to be capable of opening so as to connect the pressure chambers 5, 6 to one another. • Patent number: 6959797
Abstract: In a piston-cylinder assembly comprising a cylinder in which a piston rod is installed with freedom of axial movement and which is filled with a blocking medium, a braking device becomes active when the piston-cylinder assembly moves faster than a defined speed and thus limits the speed to a desired extent. A valve body divides the cylinder into two working spaces, which are connected to each other by at least one flow-through opening. As soon as the defined speed is exceeded, the dynamic pressure in the working space elastically deforms a disk, which has the effect of at least partially sealing off the flow-through opening(s) in opposition to the forces trying to keep them open. The elastic deformation of the disk represents a closing movement relative to the cross section of the flow-through opening(s). The disk takes the form of a valve ring, which is installed in a valve ring groove with a certain freedom of axial movement.

  • Patent number: 6913128
Abstract: A piston rod is guided in an axially movable manner within a cylinder filled with a damping medium, and a piston is arranged on the piston rod, which piston divides the cylinder into a working space on the piston-rod side and a working space remote from the piston rod. The two working spaces are connected to each other by at least one flow passage which is activated as a function of the axial position of a valve body, which is prestressed in the opening direction by a spring, the valve body being movable onto a valve seat surface into the closed position as a function of dynamic pressure and at least reducing the passage cross section of the at least one flow passage.
