Abstract: In an operating component placement system for electronic equipment, assembly units (5) having cables (8) whereby operating components (6a to 6e) are connected to connectors (7a to 7e) are used to mount the operating components (6a to 6e) to a front panel (4), with connectors (7a to 7e) connected to connectors (3a to 3e) on a panel board (3) for signal input for various functions, and the cable lengths for operating component groups (6a to 6c) and (6d and 6e) having the same form established so as to be longer than the maximum distance between the connectors (3a to 3c) and (3d and 3e) to which each operating component group is to be connected on the panel board 3 and hole groups (4a to 4c) and (4d and 4e) for mounting each of the operating component groups to the front panel. Operating components having the same form can be selectively laid out by changing the cable positioning.

Abstract: An antistatic composition is provided for use with a label construction which includes an organic cationic polyelectrolyte, a binder, and a surfactant. The composition is preferably used in a label construction comprising a polymer film substrate having a pressure sensitive adhesive on its second surface, a release liner overlying the pressure sensitive adhesive, with the antistatic composition being provided on the second surface of release liner. The antistatic composition reduces the surface resistivity of the second surface of said release liner. The antistatic composition may also be used in combination with a toner adhesion-enhancing coating which is provided on the first surface of the substrate to improve print quality. The labels may be stacked or provided in roll form such that the antistatic composition reduces the coefficient of friction between adjacent labels and prevents the build-up of static charges on the labels.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for preparing manganese-based nitride having nearly zero temperature coefficient of resistivity and more particularly, to the effective method for preparing manganese-based nitride expressed by the formula (1), wherein the manganese-based nitride, prepared by heating the stoichiometric mixture of Mn2N and Cu in an evacuated quartz tube, provides some advantages in that i) the use of the Mn2N compound as a reactant, the formation of impurities and nitrogen evaporation may be prevented, and ii) through nitrogen is tightly bonded between metals, the manganese-based nitride has extremely low (46 ppm/K) temperature coefficient of resistivity.

Abstract: Metallocene catalysts having plural coordination geometries for synthesis of high melting polyolefin copolymers suitable as thermoplastic elastomers. The inventive catalysts comprise unbridged, substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadienyl metallocene catalysts that are capable of inter-converting between states with different polymerization or copolymerization characteristics, which interconversion is controlled by selecting the substituents of the cyclopentadienyl ligands so that the rate of interconversion of the two states is within several orders of magnitude of the rate of formation of a single polymer chain. Where ri>rf the polymer can be characterized as multiblock; where ri<rf, the result is a polymer blend and where ri/rf is close to 1, the resulting polymer is a mixture of blend and multiblock. The inventive metallocene catalysts are able to interconvert between more than two states, with embodiments of four states being shown in FIG. 2.

Abstract: A fluid cooling device carrying cooling fins thereon also carries a plurality of series of plates one above the other. Each of the series of plates is composed of an upper and a lower plate which are in spaced relationship with one another. The space between the upper and lower plates of each of said series of plates define a channel therewithin which is connected to the corresponding channels in each of the series of plates with all of said channels being also connected to inlet and outlet openings. The portions of each of the plates within each of the channels defined therein carrying projecting baffles therewithin which are adapted to cause turbulence in the fluid to be cooled which passes through said channels from the inlet opening to the outlet opening of the device.
Abstract: The invention provides an individual suspension device for a bed or seat base of the multi-element type, the device being for interposing between a platform determining a support surface and a padding element such as a mattress, and comprising a foot for fixing to an element of the platform, a suspension structure fixed to the foot, and a top plate carried by the suspension structure and serving as a support for the padding element, said suspension structure being circularly symmetrical about a vertical axis, wherein the suspension structure is a single hollow piece and is made of a flexible synthetic material or a vulcanized rubber having hardness lying in the range 40 on the Shore A scale to 70 on the Shore D scale.
Abstract: A self-aligning arbor nut system is disclosed. The self-aligning arbor nut system, according to the present invention, includes a body formed with a duct substantially coincident with the longitudinal axis of the body. A substantially circular ring known as a swivel also is provided. The ring is engageable with either end of the duct. An o-ring is included. The o-ring is engageable with a groove in the wall of the ring, and with a slot formed on the inner surface of the duct at both ends of the duct to reverse engagement of the nut with an arbor. The swivel is engageable with at least one end of the body, and in fact is engageable with both ends of the body. When mounted on an arbor, the swivel aligns and helps prevent a bent or distorted arbor. A circumferential depression may be formed around the outside surface of the body. One or more bores is formed in the circumferential depression for manipulation with a key.
