  • Patent number: 11978126
Abstract: A system for enhanced personal property replacement (i) builds a virtual inventory of personal belongings, such as by performing object recognition techniques on mobile device digital images with the customer's permission or affirmative consent; (ii) receives user preferences transmitted from their mobile device; (iii) receives a request from the user to handle an insurance claim after an insurance-related event; (iv) determines items to purchase for the user based upon the user preferences, and/or the extent of damage; and/or (v) transmits, to a retailer remote server a virtual order for the items to be delivered to the user at a temporary (hotel) or permanent (home) address. Insurance claim monies may be used to pay for the items. As a result, after an event (e.g., fire, tornado, hurricane), household or other goods may be automatically purchased and delivered to a customer to alleviate the negative impact of the event on their life.

  • Patent number: 11978064
Abstract: In a computer-implemented method of using customer data to determine that geolocation-based fraud alerts are false positives, it may be determined that an electronic fraud alert is a geolocation-based alert generated based upon an unexpected or abnormal transaction location. In response, customer data may be obtained from two or more sources via radio frequency links. It may then be determined that the customer data from the sources indicates that a customer is traveling. In response, it may be determined that a customer location indicated by the customer data corresponds to the transaction location. In response to determining that the customer location corresponds to the transaction location, the electronic fraud alert may be marked as a false positive, and the electronic fraud alert may be prevented from being transmitted to a mobile device of the customer, in order to reduce an amount of false positives that are transmitted to customers.

  • Patent number: 11977874
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, an identity of a vehicle operator may be determined and a vehicle operator profile and/or operating data regarding autonomous operation features of the vehicle may be received after the vehicle operator opts into a rewards program and agrees to share their data. Autonomous operation and vehicle operator risk levels associated with operation of the autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be determined. Based upon the risk levels and/or comparison thereof, one or more autonomous operation features may be disengaged. A preparedness level of the vehicle operator to assume or reassume control of operating the vehicle is determined prior to disengagement. If satisfactory, an alert is presented to the vehicle operator prior to disengagement of the autonomous operation features.

  • Patent number: 11970180
Abstract: Vehicles may have autonomous capabilities that permit the vehicle to navigate according to varying levels of participation by a human operator. A human operator may be associated with a driving capability profile and the environment surrounding a vehicle may be associated with an environmental risk profile. A vehicle, or another party in communication with a vehicle, may determine whether, based on the human operator's driving capability profile and the environmental risk profile, it is likely that the vehicle will be navigated more safely if there is a change to the vehicle's autonomous capabilities and a corresponding change to the human operator's driving responsibilities. If it is determined that a change in autonomous vehicle capability is likely to increase safe navigation of the vehicle, an insurer may offer an insurance premium cost reduction if the human operator agrees to the proposed change in autonomous capabilities.

  • Patent number: 11972488
Abstract: Method and systems generate optimized and online targeted messages. Various campaign criteria are provided having different advertising or marketing goals that cause the delivery of targeted messages. Messages may be generated based upon customer data, customer preferences, life events, marketing campaigns, predictive models, and/or propensity scores. For instance, messages may be sent when a propensity threshold score is exceeded indicating a high likelihood of a milestone event, which may be indicative of customer behavior or an event that is relevant to the campaign goal, thereby sending more relevant messages to customers. A milestone propensity score may be calculated using a predictive modeling algorithm having weighted data variables, which may include data provided by the customer or accessed through various sources, such as monitoring customer online interactions with their permission.

  • Patent number: 11972489
Abstract: A claims processing system includes a claims assistance component to handle the flow of data through the claim process. The data may include any documents submitted for claim processing and may be generated by disparate sources. The system may train one or more machine learning (ML) models to classify the unstructured data by insurance categories and/or determine workflow. The system may assist a user through a user device to upload or capture claims data with the device. The claims assistance component may classify the data and verify the data classification before uploading it to the servers. In examples, the claims assistance component may determine that the file size of the data exceeds a cellular data transfer threshold and determine to compress the data and/or hold the transfer until a free connection is detected.
