Abstract: A distributed network transaction system and method includes a central exchange computer connected via the Internet (world wide web) to multiple remote computers associated with, for example, individual brokers. A central database is provided with the exchange computer and each remote computer can have a respective database for information that the individual brokers was to maintain separate from the system. E-commerce transactions are conducted by the system, which performs a number of transaction-related functions, such as pushing tickets up to the system for sale, purchasing tickets online, shipping, web site-related and bookkeeping. The system and methodology accommodate price event functions where non real-time tickets can be sold and the orders filled with tickets acquired on the system.

Abstract: A method to present a personalized list of items is disclosed. The method may include presenting information pertaining to an event via a display device. The information pertaining to the event may include a time element. The method may further include receiving a selection of a location associated with the event. The method may also include sending a request for the digital image to preview the event from the location and for weather data in view of the time element. The method may include receiving the digital image and the weather data. The method may further include presenting the digital image and the weather data via the display device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating a recommendation engine of a process modeling server and automatically comparing tickets by the recommendation engine are disclosed. The recommendation engine may be generated by digitizing a seat map of a venue that characterizes one or more interrelationships between the seats. After creation, the process modeling server receives a notification that a ticket holder's ticket to an event taking place at a venue has been cancelled or become otherwise unavailable. The process modeling server compares one or more attributes of the now-unavailable ticket to one or more rules maintained by a recommendation engine of the process modeling server. The recommendation engine generates one or more substitute ticket alternatives based on the comparison for selection. The recommendation engine may refine the one or more rules over time based on actual customer selection.

Abstract: A system can offer an enhanced event experience for users of the system by tracking the locations of the users during a purchased-access event such as a ticketed event and offering real time location-based upgrades to the users. The locations of users can be used to determine a demonstrated interest by the user for a particular location or product in the event venue and to offer upgrades tailored to that demonstrated interest. For example, a concert attendee with a ticket for a particular seat may be detected a location relatively far from the user's seat such as a location near a seat of a friend of the user. The system can detect the user's location, identify available seats near the user's location, and offer the user an upgrade to the identified available seats. Location-based upgrades can also be provided in airplanes, hotels, cruise ships, or other venues or events.

Abstract: Methods and systems for assisting a user at an event and venue are described. A user is guided or navigated to different points of interest at a venue. The points of interest include seat locations or surrounding services and facilities, such as restaurants, shops, and restrooms. Advertisements and promotions associated with surrounding services may be displayed to the user. The user may be notified of the presence of friends and family at the same venue, and be provided with real-time information about the event.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for providing a dynamic interactive seat map are disclosed. A computer-implemented method may include receiving a base map illustrating locations of sections within an event venue, receiving polygon coordinates for a section depicted in the base map, determining a plurality of characteristics comprising a fill color, a stroke color, and a transparency for the section, and displaying an interactive seat map having the determined characteristics applied to the section of the base map.

Abstract: A method of providing event notification of upcoming events is provided. A method may include receiving a search request comprising search criteria. The method may also include performing a first search for one or more upcoming events based on the search criteria. Further, the method may include modifying the search criteria and performing a second search for one or more upcoming events based on the modified search criteria. The method may further include determining an upcoming event based on at least one of the first search and the second search. In addition, the method may include transmitting a notification of the upcoming event from the network-based system to a user device.

The operations may include receiving filter criteria over from an electronic device, and based on the filter criteria, retrieving the first and second entries. The operations may also include comparing one or more attributes of the first and second entries, and based on the comparison, adding the first entry from the electronic database to a package object. The operations may further include, based on the filter criteria, retrieving third and fourth entries from the electronic database, and comparing one or more attributes of the third and fourth entries, and based on the comparison, adding the third entry from the electronic database to the package data object.

Abstract: A method and system which enables users of a ticketing marketplace to exchange tickets in order obtain groups of adjacent seats for an event. The method may include obtaining data associated with a first transaction for acquiring a first ticket by a first user, obtaining a first indication of willingness of the first user to negotiate exchange of the first ticket, and determining a set of exchange terms. A second user may then request to obtain a second ticket corresponding to a seat adjacent to a seat corresponding to the first ticket obtained by the first user, and exchange, with the first user, a third ticket for the first ticket. Upon a determination that the third ticket satisfies the set of exchange terms, the first ticket obtained by the first user is automatically transferred to the second user and a third ticket is automatically transferred to the first user.

Abstract: There is provided systems and methods for securing an event ticket. A processing module of a server device may access a first data packet associated with a first account and a second data packet associated with a second account. A status module of the server device may determines from the first data packet a first status of the first account attempting to secure an event ticket. The status module may further determine from the second data packet a second status of the second account attempting to secure the event ticket. A device module of the server device may determine from the first data packet an identification of a client device accessing the first account. A communication module of the server device may transmit the second status of the second account to the client device.

Abstract: There is provided systems and method for determining a user's event experience through user actions. A user may attend an event at a venue and take various actions with respect to the event. For example, the user may dance and cheer at the event, which may be captured by a biometric reading device on a user device that the user has in their possession. Additionally, the user may share media and generate social networking interactions while at, or after the event. The user may also make purchases at the event or after the event, such as purchasing media content corresponding to the event, Based on the actions taken by the user, an enjoyment level may be determined, which may be used to further determine a quality or how overall enjoyable was the event. Thus, users may be provided with sales of products or future events matching their interests.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for allowing a user to more easily select seats that are desirable to the user at event venues. Seating preferences of the user can be provided by the user or can be determined from historic user ticket purchase information. A ticket server can present the user with a map that shows those seating areas that meet at least some of the user's preferences. The user can use the map to determine which seats the user would like to purchase.

Abstract: Information can be provided in a convenient manner to help a user decide what events to attend. The information can include information regarding a popularity of the events. The popularity of the events can be based upon the number of people expected to attend, the number of the user's friends expected to attend, and/or the number of people fitting user-defined criteria who are expected to attend. The events for a user-specified time period can be shown on a map along with information representing the popularity of the events. Thus, the user can choose to attend those events in the user's area which are more popular. The map can be displayed on a user device, such as a cellular telephone. In this manner, the user can more readily attend those particular events which the user is more likely to enjoy.

Abstract: Systems and methods for crowdsourcing seat quality are provided. An example method for crowdsourcing seat quality includes receiving an indication of user interest in an event taking place at a venue, determining information about a seat in the venue from previous users of the seat, and displaying a seat map with the information about a seat of the at least one seat.

Abstract: Systems and methods for fingerprint recognition-based event admission are provided. A user may use a user device to purchase a ticket for an event and provide a fingerprint scanned on the user device to a fingerprint validation system. The fingerprint validation system may associate the purchased ticket with the user and store the fingerprint template associated with the user as a reference template. When the user arrives at an entrance of the event, the user may scan a fingerprint at a fingerprint scan device at the entrance. Fingerprint validation system may compare the received fingerprint template with stored fingerprint reference templates, validate that the user is associated with a purchased ticket, and grant access to the event.

Abstract: A method of generating a user-interface to be displayed at a remote location may include receiving a search request for an item listing receiving a search request for an event at a venue with multiple rows. The method may also include retrieving a first listing and a second listing in a same row of the multiple rows based on the search request, and determining which of the first listing and the second listing is a listing selected for display and which is a listing selected to not be displayed. The method may additionally include generating instructions to be transmitted to a remote location to generate a user interface to be displayed at the remote location, the user interface including the listing selected for display and excluding the listing selected to not be displayed, and transmitting the instructions to the remote location.

Abstract: There are provided systems and method for validity determination of an event ticket and automatic population of admission information. A user wishing to sell a ticket for admission to an event at a venue may upload an image containing a visual representation of the image. Ticket information may be extracted from the visual representation. The ticket information may be extracted using optical character recognition and/or polygon coordinates of information with assistance from template for the tickets. Additionally, using the ticket information or the visual representation of the ticket, ticket validity may be determined. The ticket validity may depend on the information presented on the ticket, the placement of the information on the ticket, or other factors, such as a database including sold and available tickets at the venue through validating with a Primary Partner. If the ticket is suspicious, the ticket may be reviewed or sale of the ticket prohibited.

Abstract: A method of electronic file format conversion and optimization includes requesting a second set of information following receipt of a first set of information used to transfer an electronic file on a website. The method includes receiving the second set of information from a first computing device associated with a first entity. The method includes receiving user input from a second computing device associated with a second entity that initiates transfer of the electronic file from the first computing device to the second computing device. In response to additional user input from the second computing device used to access the electronic file, the method includes accessing an additional set of information related to the electronic file and converting the electronic file to an optimized file based on the second information and the additional information. At least a version of the optimized file being formatted for display on the second computing device.

A communication interface of a server device may receive a search request for an event, where the search request includes event data indicating a venue location of the event. An interest processing component of the server device determines an excitement interest in the event based on at least one of the event data and interest data of a user account. An area processing component of the server device determines one or more excitement areas at the venue location based at least on the excitement interest in the event. A ticket processing component of the server device determines one or more available event tickets for the event at the venue location based at least on the one or more excitement areas at the venue location.
