Abstract: A device and method for generating a dynamic personalized events feed that is personalized for a user is provided. The device may include one or more processors configured to determine events that match filtering information, generate the dynamic personalized events feed based on the determined events, and update the generated dynamic personalized events feed based on the determined events. The device may also include a network interface component coupled to a network, the network interface component configured to receive the filtering information, and transmit the generated dynamic personalized events feed to a user device. The device may further include a memory, the memory storing event information and user information for determining events that match the filtering information.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to providing upcoming event notification and mobile purchasing and, more specifically but not exclusively relate to a system and methods for providing notifications of upcoming events to users of an online secondary ticket marketplace and allowing the users to purchase tickets to upcoming events using a mobile device. In one embodiment, a network-based system may receive a registration request from a user to receive alert notifications for upcoming events. The registration request may comprise a telephone number for a mobile device of the user. The network-based system may send an alert notification for an upcoming event to the mobile device of the user over a mobile telephone network. The alert notification may comprise a text message including relevant static or dynamic event information as well as an embedded hyperlink for allowing the user to transact a mobile purchase.

Abstract: A system and methods for mapping price and location of tickets in an event venue are described. An interactive event venue seat map is provided by a network-based system that implements an online marketplace for tickets for upcoming events. The interactive event venue seat map enables sellers to view pricing information and transaction information for both sold and current event listings for any section or zone in an event venue. The interactive event venue seat map allows sellers to browse and click on sections to see sold and listed data for any section and zone in the event venue and to compare a proposed sale price to available pricing information of sold and current event listings in comparable sections. Abstract: A first user at a location creates content (e.g., a text, voice message, photograph, image, video, or other content) associated with the location and sends the content to a service provider server using a first user device. The service provider server stores the content for future visitors of the location to access. When a second user with a second user device is subsequently at or close to the location associated with the content, the service provider server provides access to the content based on a location of the second user device and one or more criteria, such as a search area criterion, time interval criterion, access area criterion, and/or user interest criterion. The second user may then view the content on the second user device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing an interactive seat map showing locations of available tickets in an event venue are described. A client computer receives, from a network-based system, a base map illustrating locations of sections within the event venue, a coded image map for building a map overlay having a polygon for each section depicted in the base map, and an inventory for an event at the event venue. The inventory provides, for each section, section data that includes available tickets for each section within the event venue. The client computer displays an interactive seat map by loading the base map and building the map overlay on top of the base map so that each polygon of the map overlay aligns with the respective section of the base map. The client computer determines one or more characteristics for each polygon of the map overlay based on the received section data corresponding to each polygon.

Abstract: Methods and systems for assisting a user at an event and venue are described. A user is guided or navigated to different points of interest at a venue. The points of interest include seat locations or surrounding services and facilities, such as restaurants, shops, and restrooms. Advertisements and promotions associated with surrounding services may be displayed to the user. The user may be notified of the presence of friends and family at the same venue, and be provided with real-time information about the event.

Abstract: Information can be provided in a convenient manner to help a user decide what events to attend. The information can include information regarding a popularity of the events. The popularity of the events can be based upon the number of people expected to attend, the number of the user's friends expected to attend, and/or the number of people fitting user-defined criteria who are expected to attend. The events for a user-specified time period can be shown on a map along with information representing the popularity of the events. Thus, the user can choose to attend those events in the user's area which are more popular. The map can be displayed on a user device, such as a cellular telephone. In this manner, the user can more readily attend those particular events which the user is more likely to enjoy.

Abstract: A distributed network transaction system and method includes a central exchange computer connected via the Internet (world wide web) to multiple remote computers associated with, for example, individual brokers. A central database is provided with the exchange computer and each remote computer can have a respective database for information that the individual brokers was to maintain separate from the system. E-commerce transactions are conducted by the system, which performs a number of transaction-related functions, such as pushing tickets up to the system for sale, purchasing tickets online, shipping, web site-related and bookkeeping. The system and methodology accommodate price event functions where non real-time tickets can be sold and the orders filled with tickets acquired on the system.

Abstract: A system and methods for providing variable distribution and access control for purchased event tickets are described. In one embodiment, a network-based system receives an order for electronic tickets purchased by a buyer, receives one or more recipients other than the buyer for one or more of the electronic tickets, receives delivery options for the recipients from the buyer, receives delivery information for the recipients from the buyer, and delivers electronic ticket information to the recipients.
