Abstract: An aqueous phase inhibitor for quenching free radical polymerization comprising a free radical quenching agent having a hydrophilic tail is disclosed, as well as a coating and related methods. In one embodiment, the free radical quenching agent can either be an N-hydroxylamine or an N-nitrosonamine, the hydrophilic tail can be a polyhydric alcohol tail and the inhibitor can be a concentrate in a liquid medium such as water, alcohol and mixture thereof.
Abstract: A waste processing system comprising a mixing tank system with an agitation system; a separation system, and a slurry tank system having a shearing system. The present invention also relates to a method of processing waste which includes the steps of: (a) mixing waste with a carrier liquid, b) separating the mixture into at least two portions, the first portion being solid debris and the second portion being processable waste c) shearing and slurrifying the processable waste, and injecting the processed mixture into a wellbore.
Abstract: A drilling fluid system that combines a carbon black/asphaltite/lignite mixture with a fish oil/glycol mixture; and a method for manufacturing a drilling fluid system that could be utilized with pre-existing water based muds during drilling and excavating applications.
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of a water based drilling fluid additive comprising the steps of:(a) premixing hydrophobic asphaltite and either a surfactant or a dispersant and(b) shearing the mixture of step (a) under a sufficiently high mechanical shear for a sufficient time to convert the hydrophobic asphaltite into hydrophilic asphaltite. This invention is also directed to a water based drilling fluid additive prepared according to the above process and the use of the additive in a water based drilling fluid.

Abstract: Shale-stabilizing drilling fluids for use in connection with subterranean well drilling operations. The drilling fluids contain polyvalent metal/guanidine complexes, especially aluminum/guanidine complexes, and preferably contain guanidinium ion and aluminate ion accompanied by (a) cationic starches and (b) a glycol selected from the group consisting of polybutylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol and mixtures thereof.
