The method comprises defining subranges, classifying the subranges by relevance and varyingly measuring subranges, wherein relevant subranges are measured more intensively, so that more measuring pulses per spatial unit are sent out in relevant subranges. The method has a time budget, wherein the method comprises a one-time definition and/or dynamic adjustment of how the time budget is distributed among varyingly relevant subranges, wherein a first portion of the time budget is used for focus measurements, and a second portion of the time budget is used for basic measurements.

If not, the transmit power, for example, of the data packets is reduced and/or their transmit clock is extended over the residual period. This determination, along with a control specification, are preferably performed in a concentrator and are transmitted to the meter by using bidirectionally operating radio modules so that computer capacities required therefor need not be retained in each individual meter of a supply area.

    Abstract: A method for measuring the presence of calprotectin (S100A8/A) heterodimer in a biological sample using a particle-enhanced turbidimetric immunoassay (PETIA) based on monoclonal antibodies. The method can be adapted on automated standard analyzers and provides a reliable clinical measurement of calprotectin in faecal samples and extracts. The method is comparable to commerical two-site sandwich ELISA. The disclosed method counters spontaneous agglutination caused by calcium ions and low-molecular weight calcium-binding S100 proteins as observed with conventional PETIAs. The method can be used for measuring the presence of human calprotectin in stool, urine, serum, plasma, synovial liquid and other body liquids. Metrological traceability and high commutability with conventional immunoassays (ELISA) has been shown despite of different measurement principles used.
