  • Publication number: 20210316829
Abstract: A method and a device can be used to transmit data onboard a watercraft using an onboard power supply network. A central control unit generates an instruction for a first consumer module. The instruction is transmitted from the central control unit via a first control unit-head station data connection to a first head station. The first head station converts the instruction into an instruction signal that is transmittable via the power supply network. The instruction signal is transmitted from the first head station via a first head station-power line data connection, the power supply network, and a first coupling module-power line data connection to a first coupling module. From the instruction signal, the first coupling module again generates an instruction that can be transmitted via a data connection. The instruction is transmitted from the first coupling module via a first coupling module-consumer data connection to the first consumer module.

  • Publication number: 20210313689
Abstract: An antenna array has a signal distribution region and a signal emission region. The signal distribution region has a distribution body made from a dielectric material which converts an information signal, fed into an infeed side thereof, into a spatially distributed signal distribution on an opposite distribution side. The signal emission region has a plurality of signal emission elements distributed over the distribution side. The signal emission elements protrude from the distribution body. At least one signal emission element has a phase shift region, in which a phase shift material with an electrically influenceable permittivity is arranged in the signal emission element. By applying a phase shift voltage between at least one pair of electrodes, the permittivity of the phase shift material is influenced and thereby the propagation speed of an electromagnetic signal in the phase shift region is changed.

  • Publication number: 20210314893
Abstract: The present disclosure describes devices, systems, and methods for synchronizing multiple-input/multiple-output (“MIMO”) signals or other signals in telecommunication systems. Some aspects may involve transmitting signals between a head-end unit and remote units of a telecommunication system. A first delay of a signal path between the head-end unit and a first remote unit of the remote units may be determined to be greater than each delay of signal paths between the head-end unit and other remote units. Based on the first delay, the telecommunication system may be configured to delay transmission of additional signals such that the additional signals are simultaneously transmitted to another unit by either the head-end unit or the remote units.
