Publication number: 20040089517Abstract: A supply holds a flattened box blank above a conveyor passing having a succession of box seats, and a planet carrier is rotated by its own drive about a sun axis between the supply and the conveyor. A single planetary element on the carrier offset from the sun axis is rotatable about a planet axis parallel to and offset from the sun axis. A grab on the planetary element is engageable with the blank in the supply and in the conveyor seats. A planet drive wheel is fixed to the planetary element, a sun wheel is rotatable about the sun axis, and the wheels are coupled together for joint synchronous rotation. A separate planetary drive connected to the sun wheel rotates the planetary element independently of the carrier such that the grab moves while orbiting about the sun axis through a closed asymmetric path having only two outer points.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 5, 2003Publication date: May 13, 2004Applicant: UHLMANN Pac-Systeme GmbH & Co. Patent number: 6731793Abstract: A method for determining the edge position in color images, particularly for color transitions and intensity transitions is disclosed. In accordance with the method, the edge locations found in the total image or in individual color extracts coincide as closely as possible. Further, every color value F is changed to a vector representation {overscore (OFi)} proceeding from a selected point O of the color space F to determine the edge location K, and in that the transition from a color FL at the left of edge K to a color FR at the right of edge K is determined in order to determine the edge position along a given sampling direction by means of a method based on the vector representation {overscore (OFi)}. The method according to the invention is directed for determining the edge position in color images, particularly with detection of color transitions and intensity transitions in color space F.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2000Date of Patent: May 4, 2004Assignee: ZSP Geodaetische Systeme GmbHInventors: Christian Usbeck, Peter Brueckner
