  • Patent number: 11944934
Abstract: A liquid desiccant regenerator configured to produce a first output stream with a higher concentration of a liquid desiccant than a first input stream. The regenerator also produces a second output stream with a lower concentration of the liquid desiccant than a second input stream. Regeneration of the liquid desiccant in the liquid desiccant regenerator decreases a temperature of the liquid desiccant regenerator. The system includes an air contactor coupled to the first output stream and exposing an input air stream to the first output stream. The first output stream absorbs water from the input air stream to form at least one diluted output desiccant stream. A heat pump of the system is thermally coupled to move the heat from the first output stream to the liquid desiccant regenerator. The heat moved to the liquid desiccant regenerator increases an efficiency of the liquid desiccant regenerator.

  • Patent number: 11947990
Abstract: Illustrative systems and methods enable a virtual machine (“VM”) to be powered up at any hypervisor regardless of hypervisor type, based on live-mounting VM data that was originally backed up into a hypervisor-independent format by a block-level backup operation. Afterwards, the backed up VM executes anywhere anytime without needing to find a hypervisor that is the same as or compatible with the original source VM's hypervisor. The backed up VM payload data is rendered portable to any virtualized platform. Thus, a VM can be powered up at one or more test stations, data center or cloud recovery environments, and/or backup appliances, without the prior-art limitations of finding a same/compatible hypervisor for accessing and using backed up VM data. An illustrative media agent maintains cache storage that acts as a way station for data blocks retrieved from an original backup copy, and stores data blocks written by the live-mounted VM.

  • Patent number: 11947887
Abstract: A system includes a memory that stores instructions and receives a circuit netlist, and includes a processing unit that accesses the memory and executes the instructions. The instructions include an EDA application that includes a test-point flop allocation module that is configured to evaluate the circuit netlist to determine compatibility of the test-point nodes in the circuit netlist. The test-point flop allocation module can further allocate each of the test-point flops to a test-point sharing group comprising a plurality of compatible test-point nodes. The EDA application also includes a circuit layout module configured to generate a circuit layout associated with the circuit design, the circuit layout comprising the functional logic and scan-chains comprising the test-point flops allocated to the test-point sharing groups in response to the circuit netlist. The circuit layout is employable to fabricate an integrated circuit (IC) chip.

  • Patent number: 11947489
Abstract: A new snapshot of a storage volume is created by instructing computing nodes to suppress write requests. Once pending write requests from the computing nodes are completed, storage nodes create a new snapshot for the storage volume by allocating a new segment to the new snapshot and finalizes and performs garbage collection with respect to segments allocated to the previous snapshot. Subsequent write requests to the storage volume are then performed on the segments allocated to the new snapshot. A segment maps segments to a particular snapshot and metadata stored in the segment indicates storage volume addresses of data written to the segment. The snapshots may be represented by a storage manager in a hierarchy that identifies an ordering of snapshots and branches to clone snapshots.

  • Patent number: 11945462
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing speed thresholds for a fleet of vehicles are disclosed. Input is used to provide associations between particular weather-relation conditions (such as rain) and arithmetic operations, that may be used to determine a current speed threshold as a function of a local posted speed limit at the current location of a vehicle. The current speed threshold is subsequently used to detect whether vehicles are exceeding the current speed threshold.

  • Patent number: 11947038
Abstract: A LIDAR system includes a transmitter unit constructed and arranged to generate light and a photodetector structure for detecting received, reflected light. An actively tunable narrow band optical filter structure is located upstream of the photodetector structure to filter out wavelengths of light associated with sunlight prior to being received by the photodetector structure. The filter structure is constructed and arranged to change optical filtering thereof so as to change wavelengths of light permitted to pass there-through. A photodiode detects light passing through the filter structure. A control unit is associated with the photodiode and the filter structure and is constructed and arranged such that based on the light detected by the photodiode, the control unit can cause the filter structure to change the optical filtering thereof by heating or rotating the filter structure so as to compensate for drifting or broadening of a wavelength of the transmitter unit.

  • Patent number: 11947355
Abstract: A method and system for zone mapping displays a geographic area to a user and receives input from the user identifying a zone of the geographic area. An identification of an agricultural material to be applied in the zone is also received and an application plan is generated in response. The application plan is generated based on features identified in the zone, the agricultural material to be applied, and application requirements and restrictions associated with the agricultural material that are identified by the manufacturer of the material and, in some cases, governmental agencies. The agricultural machine tracks the application of the agricultural material and transmits application information for storage in the zone mapping system for later retrieval in response to requests, such as compliance requests.

  • Patent number: 11947576
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that allow for indexing, processing, or both of information from physical media or electronic media, which may be received from a plurality of sources. In embodiments, a document file may be matched using pattern matching methods and may include comparisons with a comparison reference database to improve or accelerate the indexing process. In embodiments, information may be presented to a user as potential matches thereby improving manual indexing processes. In embodiments, one or more additional actions may occur as part of the processing, including without limitation, association additional data with a document file, making observations from the document file, notifying individuals, creating composite messages, and billing events. In an embodiment, data from a document file may be associated with a key word, key phrase, or word frequency value that enables adaptive learning so that unindexed data may be automatically indexed based on user interaction history.

  • Patent number: 11949791
Abstract: A hash contract is disclosed herein. A hash contract may be a value generated by a device using a hash function. The hash contract itself may represent a legally enforceable contract. The hash contract may be structured in a manner such that a device operated by a contracting party can transmit a legally enforceable contract over a network using a smaller file size than is possible with conventional secure transaction techniques. In addition, the manner in which the hash contract is generated allows a receiving device to verify that the contract elements of the contract are as expected and to verify an identity of a user that allegedly accepted the contract. Thus, even if a malicious user attempts to alter contract elements or perform other fraudulent activity, the receiving device can use the hash contract to identify such activity and prevent a transaction from being completed.
