Abstract: The present specification describes a compact, hand-held probe or device that uses the principle of X-ray backscatter to provide immediate feedback to an operator about the presence of scattering and absorbing materials, items or objects behind concealing barriers irradiated by ionizing radiation, such as X-rays. Feedback is provided in the form of a changing audible tone whereby the pitch or frequency of the tone varies depending on the type of scattering material, item or object. Additionally or alternatively, the operator obtains a visual scan image on a screen by scanning the beam around a suspect area or anomaly.

Abstract: Some of the present methods include, and some embodiments of the present systems are configured for gaining access to a patient's vessel by way of the vessel (i.e. from the inside out). Some embodiments facilitate gaining access to an occluded vessel, where part of the access path is through the occlusion.
Abstract: A sterile environment system can include an enclosure and a support system. The enclosure can include a barrier separating a sterile environment inside of the enclosure from a non-sterile environment outside of the enclosure. The barrier can include an expandable portion configured to expand from an unexpanded state to an expanded state for working within the sterile environment, and a patient-interfacing portion including a fenestration configured for placement directly over an area of interest of a patient, the fenestration having a sealed state and an unsealed state for access to the area of interest from within the sterile environment. The support system can be coupled to the patient-interfacing portion of the barrier such that it is positioned on at least opposite sides of the fenestration.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for processing signals in wireless communication. The method includes: determining peak points respectively corresponding to first sampling points of an input signal, which are to be peak-reduced; generating a peak reduction value sequence with peak reduction values based on amplitudes of the peak points; generating a peak reduction signal by performing peak shaping on the peak reduction value sequence based on position displacing of the peak points from the first sampling points; and generating an output signal by subtracting the peak reduction signal from the input signal.
Abstract: In one embodiment, an EV charging system includes: a plurality of first converters to receive and convert grid power at a distribution grid voltage to at least one second voltage; a high frequency transformer coupled to the first converters to receive the at least one second voltage and output at least one high frequency AC voltage; and a plurality of port rectifiers coupled to a plurality of secondary windings of the high frequency transformer, each of the port rectifiers comprising a unidirectional AC-DC converter to receive and convert the at least one high frequency AC voltage to a DC voltage. At least some of the port rectifiers may be coupled in series to provide at least one of a charging current or a charging voltage to at least one dispenser to which at least one EV is to couple.

Abstract: The disclosed method and system increase routing efficiency by identifying a set of candidate Autonomous Systems (ASes) able to reduce average AS distances towards a set of target ASes. Starting from a list of Routing Information Base (RIB) snapshots and a set of target ASes, candidate ASes are ranked based on the gain they would provide in terms of AS distance if they were connected to the network administrator AS. A set of starting ASes may represent the ASes to which the administrator is already connected, and a set of forbidden ASes may represent the ASes to which the administrator does not want to connect. An exemplary web-based interface may show gains of candidate ASes, allowing the administrator to better understand how much an average AS distance toward the set of target ASes would improve.
Abstract: Techniques for auto-locating and autonomous operation data storage are disclosed. An example method can include storing a representation of an aircraft in a data storage of the computing system. The representation and instructions for performing a first operation on the aircraft can be transmitted to a first robot. The first robot can be configured to identify the aircraft based on a first feature of the representation. The method can further include receiving sensor data. The method can further include transmitting the sensor data to an analysis service to identify a state of a part of the aircraft. The method can further include storing the analysis in the data storage. The method can further include generating second instructions for performing a second operation on the aircraft based on the analysis and the representation stored in the data storage.
