  • Patent number: 10151119
Abstract: A tool is used for assembling at least a portion of a stay-in-place form-work for casting a structure from concrete, the form-work comprising first and second elongate panels having first and second edge components and connectable in an edge-to-edge relationship wherein the first and second edge components engage one another. The tool comprises: a first arm having a first handle, the first arm terminating at a first tool head; and a second arm having a second handle, the second arm terminating at a second tool head and pivotally attached to the first arm by a pivot joint. The first tool head comprises a first protrusion for engaging the first edge component. The second tool head comprises a second protrusion for engaging the second edge component; the first and second handles are moveable toward one another in a manner which forces the first and second tool heads toward one another thereby forcing the first and second edge components into a locked configuration.

  • Patent number: 10151614
Abstract: A self-filling graduated cylinder system for efficiently filling a graduated cylinder with a chemical solution. The self-filling graduated cylinder system generally includes a graduated cylinder having an interior, an upper end, an upper opening in the upper end a lower end opposite of the upper end, and a check valve attached to the graduated cylinder near the lower end of the graduated cylinder. The check valve is adapted to allow a liquid chemical to flow upwardly through the check valve into the graduated cylinder and to prevent the liquid chemical within the interior of the graduated cylinder from flowing downwardly through the check valve. A vacuum device is fluidly connected to the graduated cylinder to draw the liquid chemical upwardly to an upper level within the graduated cylinder. Alternatively, a pump device pumps liquid chemical into the graduated cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20180348198
Abstract: A method of verifying test data generated by a meter includes testing the sample with the meter. The meter further generates and displays a first analyte level, and calculates and displays a First Verification Value. The method further includes displaying a user interface using a computing system for receiving a user input and receiving the user input including the first analyte level and the First Verification Value. The receiving computing system calculates a Second Verification Value from the entered Result Data. The method further includes verifying with the computing system that the user input was correctly entered by comparing the entered First Verification Value with the calculated Second Verification Value and provides an indication to the user as to whether the user input was correctly entered. The meter may additionally generate additional analyte levels and the Verification Values include the additional analyte levels times corresponding, predetermined multipliers.

  • Publication number: 20180344527
Abstract: A system and method for treating ophthalmic target tissue, including a light source for generating a beam of light, a beam delivery system that includes a scanner for generating patterns, and a controller for controlling the light source and delivery system to create a dosimetry pattern of the light beam on the ophthalmic target tissue. One or more dosage parameters of the light beam vary within the dosimetry pattern, to create varying exposures on the target tissue. A visualization device observes lesions formed on the ophthalmic target tissue by the dosimetry pattern. The controller selects dosage parameters for the treatment beam based upon the lesions resulting from the dosimetry pattern, either automatically or in response to user input, so that a desired clinical effect is achieved by selecting the character of the lesions as determined by the dosimetry pattern lesions.

Abstract: A flood level detection system for a vehicle, which includes at least one sensor, and an interface. The sensor detects the depth of an area of accumulated water in proximity to the vehicle, and then communicates the depth of the area of accumulated water to the interface. The interface then communicates to the driver of the vehicle whether the depth of the area of accumulated water is greater than or less than the maximum allowable depth that the vehicle may tolerate. The vehicle may include a driver Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and the interface may be part of the driver HMI. However, in other embodiments, the interface may be part of the vehicle instrument cluster, or other part of the vehicle. • Patent number: 10148616
Abstract: A system with a local network and a set of remote networks is described herein. A subnet address range associated with the local network is subdivided into sub-segment address ranges. Each remote network is assigned a sub-segment address range for communicating with the local network. Each sub-segment address range is a smaller part of the original subnet range and each sub-segment range does not overlap with other sub-segment address ranges. Using an intermediate-local function device of the local network and intermediate-remote function devices of the remote networks, client stations in both the local and remote networks may seamlessly communicate using their native private addresses as destination addresses and without indirect address mapping.

  • Patent number: 10148780
Abstract: A comprehensive approach to streaming backups for virtual machines (“VMs”) in a storage management system comprises improvements to the assignment of data agent proxies for VM secondary copy operations. New considerations in performing a VM streaming backup job include without limitation: determining and enforcing a system-wide per-proxy limit of concurrent data streams; generating an ordered priority list of the VMs to be backed up as a basis for choosing which proxies will back up the respective VM, though the illustrative system may not strictly adhere to the priority list based on further considerations; identifying a next available proxy based on data stream utilization at the proxy; and dynamically re-generating the priority list and re-evaluating considerations if some VMs become “stranded” due to a failure to be backed up. Secondary copy operations are distributed to proxies in ways that improve the chances of successfully completing VM streaming backups.
