Abstract: A wide angle video camera system which eliminates barrel distortion and increases the field of view by combining multiple images. Image distortion may be corrected through use of a jig to determine the field of view and distortion parameters of a camera lens. From these measurements, one may calculate the amount of adjustment needed at various points in the image. Once the image correction parameters are determined for a particular camera lens, the real time image obtained from the camera may be corrected immediately, without the need for post image processing to correct for distortion. As multiple overlapping images may be immediately corrected, they may also be instantaneously aligned and combined into a single image.

Abstract: A magnetically activated switch comprises an arm member, an actuating member, and a switch. The arm member has a first magnet and the actuating member has a second magnet. The actuating member is configured and arranged to move relative to the arm member thereby moving the second magnet relative to the first magnet. The second magnet has a repulsion force to the first magnet. The switch has a contact. Movement of the second magnet in a first direction past the first magnet positions the contact in an open position and movement of the second magnet in a second direction past the first magnet positions the contact in a closed position.

Abstract: A method for adjusting an optical cavity's length includes: measuring a first absolute frequency corresponding to a cavity mode, the optical cavity having a first and second mirror having respective first and second mirror surfaces separated by a first cavity length, and a resonator body interposed therebetween; determining a length difference between the first cavity length and a target cavity length corresponding to a plurality of resonance frequencies that includes a target absolute optical frequency; removing the first mirror to expose a first end of the resonator body; depositing, on one of the first end and the first mirror, a spacer having a thickness within a length tolerance of the determined length difference; and reversibly securing the first mirror to the resonator body, the spacer being between the first mirror and the resonator body, the first and second mirrors being separated, within the length tolerance, by an adjusted cavity length.
Abstract: The present solution is directed towards systems and methods for prioritizing data streams transmitted between intermediary devices. In some implementations, the system can temporarily reprioritize data streams based on their compression characteristics. The system can also reprioritize the data packets within specific traffic classes and then prioritize each of the individual traffic classes.
Abstract: A thin film fuse is formed by two substantially planar conductors, separated from each other by a thin gap. The conductors and gap are over-coated with a thin, conductive material having a surface tension when melted, great enough to pull the conductive material out of the gap.

Abstract: The approved email generation system described is capable of producing email communications using approved email templates and content that have been aligned with information regarding user access to such content. Once the approved email has been generated, the content may be verified again for accuracy and validity before being delivered to the user. When the user accesses delivered content, the approved email generation system again verifies the content and allows the user access to only the most current version of the content available. The system provides for control of the content of electronic communications to users.

The digital image includes an array of pixels, with each pixel having an RGB color value associated therewith. Image filtering is performed on the digital image and includes calculating an RGB Euclidean geometric distance between a current pixel and a prior pixel, comparing the calculated RGB Euclidean geometric distance to a threshold, and changing the RGB color value of the current pixel to the same RGB color value as the prior pixel when the calculated RGB Euclidean geometric distance is less than the threshold. Run length encoding is performed on the filtered digital image.

Abstract: A battery apparatus with voltage-balancing control and a method controlling the same employ a voltage-balancing module, which balances voltage values of multiple series-connected batteries of the battery apparatus, and accumulates voltage difference values of each battery relative to reference voltage values to adjust an allowable discharge control parameter Duty for each battery. By virtue of a cycle for updating the Duty, voltage differences of the multiple series-connected batteries can be lowered below a preset value.
