Abstract: Recording and playback of trace log data and video log data for programs is described. In one aspect, a method for viewing log data recorded during execution of a program includes causing a display of recorded images depicting prior visual user interaction with the program during a particular time period. The method also includes causing a display of messages tracing and describing prior execution of the program during the particular time period. The display of the messages and the display of the recorded images are synchronized.
Abstract: Methods and systems for virtual printing are described herein. A user may print to a virtual printer via a user device, and the user device may send print creation data to a server. The server may generate a print job based on the print creation data and store the print job in a print queue associated with the user. When the user approaches the location of one or more physical printers, a device handled by the user may detect a location sensor at the location and send a corresponding identifier to the server. The server may identify the one or more physical printers based on the identifier and send the print job stored in the print queue to one of the physical printers.

Abstract: A system and method provides closed-loop sedation, anesthesia, or analgesia by monitoring EEG and automatically adjusting the delivery of sedative, anesthetic, and/or analgesic drugs to maintain that desired or predetermined level of cortical at all echelons of care. The system and method further monitor the subject's cortical activity to detect occurrence of burst suppression which can be indicative of unsafe depth of anesthesia or sedation. Further, the system and methods provide for alteration or cessation of the administration of anesthesia or sedation based on the occurrence of burst suppression to mitigate harm to the subject.
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for multi-mode, multi-corner physical optimization of electronic designs. These techniques identify an electronic design and a global set of views. Timing information is characterized with the global set of views for the electronic design. A set of active views is generated at least by pruning one or more views from the global set of views for a first node in the electronic design while maintaining the one or more views for a second node in the set of active views. The electronic design is then associated with the set of active views that is stored in a data structure in a non-transitory computer accessible storage medium.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for dynamically and automatically selecting an appropriate compression technique and/or compression parameters for digital images in order to reduce or prevent loss of significant information that may negatively impact the utility or usefulness of the digital images. For example, based on various image characteristics associated with a digital image, the system may dynamically compress the image using particular compression techniques and/or by adjusting compression parameters, to maintain significant information of the image. The system may select compression techniques and/or compression parameters based on one or more compression rules, which may be associated with image characteristics, patient characteristics, medical history, etc. Further, the system may, based on the one or more compression rules, compress the image to a maximum degree of compression while maintaining the significant information of the image.
Abstract: An aldehyde fixative solution at a first temperature is caused to contact a tissue sample for a first time period, additionally an aldehyde fixative solution is caused to contact the tissue sample at a second temperature higher than the first temperature for a second time period. The first time period typically ranges from about 15 minutes up to about 4 hours, and the first temperature typically is from greater than 0° C. to at least 15° C. The second temperature typically is from greater than about 22° C. to about 55° C., and the second time period ranges from about 1 hour to about 4 hours. Using this process, improved tissue morphology and IHC staining as well as superior preservation of post-translation modification signals have been accomplished in approximately 4 hours compared to 24 hours for room temperature protocols, and more even morphology and antigen preservation are observed.

Abstract: Disclosed methods and systems leverage resources in a storage management system to partially synchronize primary data files based on synchronizing selected portions thereof without regard to changes that may be occurring in other non-synchronized portions. Accordingly, a number of primary data files may be partially synchronized by synchronizing designated portions thereof via auto-restore operations from backup data. This approach relies on storage management resources to designate portions of source data that is to be kept synchronized across any number of targets; detect changes to the designated portions; back up changes to secondary storage; and distribute the changes from secondary storage to the associated targets, with minimal impact to the primary data environment. The approach may be mutually applied, so that changes in any one of an associated group of source data files may be likewise detected, backed up, and distributed to the other members of the group.
Abstract: Accurate and fast mapping of sequencing reads obtained from a targeted sequencing procedure can be provided. Once a target region is selected, alternate regions of the genome that are sufficiently similar to the target region can be identified. If a sequencing read is more similar to the target region than to an alternate region, then the read can be determined as aligning to the target region. The reads aligning to the target region can then be analyzed to determine whether a mutation exists in the target region. Accordingly, a sequencing read can be compared to the target region and the corresponding alternate regions, and not to the entire genome, thereby providing computational efficiency.
