  • Patent number: 9995828
Abstract: A quiet zone generation technique for acoustic/audio signals is proposed for mitigation of selected noise or interferences over limited areas in free space by injecting the very acoustic noise, interference, or audio feedback signals via iterative processing, generating quiet zones dynamically. This creates undesired noise-free quiet zones. Optimization loops operating iteratively to electronically process cancellation signals consist of three interconnected functional blocks: (1) an acoustic injection array, consisting of pick-up arrays to obtain the interference signals, beam forming networks for element weighting and/or re-positioning, and array elements for noise injections, (2) a diagnostic network with strategically located probes, and (3) an optimization processor with cost minimization algorithms to calculate element weights for updating.

  • Patent number: 9996287
Abstract: According to certain aspects, a system includes a client device that includes a virtual machine (VM) executed by a hypervisor, a driver located within the hypervisor, and a data agent. The VM may include a virtual hard disk file and a change block bitmap file. The driver may intercept a first write operation generated by the VM to store data in a first sector, determine an identity of the first sector based on the intercepted write operation, determine an entry in the change block bitmap file that corresponds with the first sector, and modify the entry in the change block bitmap file to indicate that data in the first sector has changed. The data agent may generate an incremental backup of the VM based on the change block bitmap file in response to an instruction from a storage manager, where the incremental backup includes the data in the first sector.

  • Publication number: 20180154725
Abstract: An air spring assembly for a vehicle having a damper body which is decoupled from a piston, allowing the damper to rotate freely without inducing torsion into the piston. The air spring assembly includes a damper body, and a decoupling mechanism connected to the damper body, where a portion of the decoupling mechanism surrounds the damper body. A piston is connected to the decoupling mechanism such that the decoupling mechanism allows for rotation of the damper body relative to the piston, preventing torsion from being transferred from the damper body to the piston. The decoupling mechanism also includes a rotatable machine element, such as a bearing, surrounding the damper body, and the bearing is adjacent the cup portion such that the rotatable machine element facilitates relative rotation between the damper body and the spring cup portion to limit torsion applied to the piston from the damper body.

  • Publication number: 20180156313
Abstract: In a planetary gear device series composed of eight kinds of planetary gear devices with gear reduction ratios of 3 to 10, the planetary gear device of each gear reduction ratio uses an internal gear with 108 teeth or a slightly different number of teeth, and the module is common among the planetary gear devices of all gear reduction ratios. The combinations of the sun gear teeth number Za and the internal gear teeth number Zc in the planetary gear device of each reduction ratio are given in Table 1 of this application.

  • Publication number: 20180160059
Abstract: An over sampled image sensor in which the pixel size is small enough to provide spatial oversampling of the minimum blur size of the sensor optics is disclosed. Image processing to detect targets below the typical limit of 6× the temporal noise floor is also disclosed. The apparatus is useful in detecting dimmer targets and targets at a longer range from the sensors. The inventions exploits signal processing, which allows spatial temporal filtering of the superpixel image in such manner that the Noise Equivalent Power is reduced by a means of Superpixel Filtering and Pooling, which increases the sensitivity far beyond a non-oversampled imager. Overall visual acuity is improved due to the ability to detect dimmer targets, provide better resolution of low intensity targets, and improvements in false alarm rejection.

Abstract: An air spring assembly for a vehicle having a damper body decoupled from a piston, allowing the damper to rotate freely without inducing torsion into the piston. The air spring assembly includes a damper body, where part of the damper body is disposed in a piston, and a decoupling mechanism connected to the damper body. The decoupling mechanism includes an adapter ring connected to the damper body, and a rotatable machine element surrounding the damper body. The adapter ring is surrounded part of the piston, and the rotatable machine element is adjacent the adapter ring. The inner wall of the piston is in contact with the rotatable machine element, such that the rotatable machine element facilitates relative rotation between the piston and damper body.

  • Publication number: 20180157720
Abstract: A system to collect and store in a special data structure arranged for rapid searching massive amounts of data. Performance metric data is one example. The performance metric data is recorded in time-series measurements, converted into unicode, and arranged into a special data structure having one directory for every day which stores all the metric data collected that day. The performance metric data is collected by one or more probes running on machines about which data is being collected. The performance metric data is compressed prior to transmission to a server over any data path. The data structure at the server where analysis is done has a subdirectory for every resource type. Each subdirectory contains text files of performance metric data values measured for attributes in a group of attributes to which said text file is dedicated. Each attribute has its own section and the performance metric data values are recorded in time series as unicode hex numbers as a comma delimited list.

  • Publication number: 20180159736
Abstract: A system manages machine images on a plurality of distributed servers over a network. A service processor generates installation instructions for building a machine image on a remote server, the machine image comprising a component, the installation instructions including instructions for the remote server to access the component from a source of the component. A reactive management processor is coupled to the service processor, accesses the source of the component, to detect whether an update of the component exists, and to notify the service processor of existence of the detected update. The service processor generates revised installation instructions for rebuilding a revised machine image on the remote server in response to the notification of the update from the reactive management processor. The service processor transmits a global rebuild command and the revised installation instructions for rebuilding the revised machine image.
