Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing adhesive die-cut articles with internal cut-outs 3 from an endless web 1, the web having a carrier layer 4, at least one adhesive layer 5 and, if appropriate, a matrix layer 6, and to a die-cut article produced by the method. In order to produce a die-cut article with an internal cut-out 3 while avoiding the use of a hollow punch, the contour 17 of the internal cut-out 3 and the external contour 10 of the respective die-cut article are die-cut out of the adhesive layer 5 and, if appropriate, the matrix layer 6 one after another, the external contour 10 not having any common point with the die-cutting line of the internal cut-out 3, the carrier layer 4 with the die-cutting residues from the internal cut-out 3 being pulled off over a pull-off edge, and the remaining web being transferred to a protective film 8 (FIG. 1).

Abstract: The apparatus has two pairs (16, 17) of conveying elements which are arranged laterally spaced from each other. Each pair (16, 17) has two parallel conveying elements (18, 19, 20, 21) arranged one above the other. All of the conveying elements (18 to 21) are guided via a respective driving wheel (22 to 25) and a deflecting wheel (26 to 29). They are, for example, toothed belts from which drivers (34, 35) protrude at a regular, adjustable spacing just over part of their length. A first driving unit (30, 31) drives one of the driving wheels (22, 23) of each pair (16, 17) of conveying elements in synchronism. A second driving unit (32, 33) drives the two other driving wheels (24, 25) in each case in synchronism. A control device is connected to the driving units. The apparatus enables containers to be transported from an input station (4) in groups to a loading station (8), in which they are made ready in a precise position and are filled.
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a preparation containing a first group of particles and at least one other group of particles which is not identical to the first group of particles for achieving controlled release of an active ingredient present in the cores of the particles, in particular in the human and veterinary medical sectors. The preparation is administered orally, rectally, vaginally etc. The release of the active ingredient then takes place in the appropriate medium, and there is transmucosal absorption of the active ingredient.
Abstract: A combined component consists of a heat exchanger and a reactor. The heat exchanger is designed in a plate form, and flow spaces for a first medium and a second medium are alternately defined between successive plates. The plates of the heat exchanger are configured as essentially annular. The heat exchanger has, substantially perpendicularly to the plates, a tubular outer wall and a tubular inner wall. The reactor is surrounded by the inner wall of the heat exchanger. The product of the reactor is conducted through supply orifices on the inner wall of the heat exchanger into the flow spaces for one of the two fluids in the heat exchanger.

Abstract: A safety housing, into which an infrared laser light source is integrated together with the CCD camera, forms a compact unit for the determination of tissue perfusion. Rays from the infrared laser light source radiate the area of operation and indocyanin green, previously injected intravenously into the patient, is excited to fluorescence by the radiation, which is detected by the CCD camera.

Abstract: A device for compensating for fluctuations in the concentration of a gaseous constituent in the fuel gas stream of a dynamically operated fuel cell system, has a buffer component arranged in the fuel gas stream, provided downstream of a component of the fuel cell system which is to be protected. The buffer component takes up the gaseous constituent from the fuel gas stream in the event of the partial pressure rising and releases the gaseous constituent back into the fuel gas stream in the event of the partial pressure dropping. According to the invention, the buffer component contains a material for the adsorption or absorption of the gaseous constituent that has a take-up capacity which is dependent on the partial pressure.
Abstract: Desoxypeganine and its pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts can be used in the treatment of alcoholism. Said substances are administered preferably in a continuos and controlled manner. The pharmaceutical administration form enables controlled release, e.g. for oral, transdermal or another route of parenteral administration.

Abstract: In a voltage measuring circuit for a composite fuel cell system, the potential of at least one point of the composite fuel cell system is detected by tapping the potential of such point, and feeding it to an input of an arrangement for evaluating the voltage. A potential shifting element is interposed between the at least one point of the composite fuel cell system and the input of the arrangement, which element is connected in series with a current sink or current source. A voltage supply circuit for such voltage measuring circuit of a composite fuel cell system comprising a plurality of individual fuel cells connected in series includes at least one voltage stabilization element connected in parallel with the circuit which is to be supplied with voltage by the composite fuel cell system. At least one current source or current sink is connected in series with this parallel circuit.
Abstract: In an off-line, free-standing, parts-orienting and -feeding device, selected parts are fed by a hopper to, and oriented in, a parts feeder unit, and then discharged to a programmed transferring arrangement. The latter includes a slide shuttle unit for alternately receiving discharged parts in a plurality of passages and aligning the parts-receiving passages with one or more pressurized air passages to blow the parts through either a clean-out track from the device, or through selected transfer tracks to pick-and-placement devices which serve to place the parts on packaging materials being processed on one or more packaging machines. Limit devices on each transfer track signal the slide shuttle unit to realign the parts-receiving passages with the pressurized air passage(s), to provide parts as required by the or each machine.

Abstract: A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell with a cathode space and an anode space that are separated by a polymer electrolyte membrane. The cathode space is supplied with an oxygen-containing gas, and the anode space is supplied with a hydrogen-containing gas. A gas-generation device is provided in which a hydrogen-rich reformate containing carbon monoxide, is produced from a fuel with the aid of steam reforming and/or partial oxidation. A gas-cleaning stage selectively oxidizes the carbon monoxide in the reformate on a suitable catalyst while oxygen is added; and a heat exchanger which is arranged in the gas-cleaning stage, has a cooling medium flowing through it and serves to dissipate thermal energy. According to the invention, to dissipate the thermal energy, the anode off-gas and/or cathode off-gas emerging from the fuel cell and/or a starting-material gas which is present in the fuel cell system flows through the heat exchanger.
