Abstract: An apparatus for forming an item group in a container, includes a first conveyor carrying the items; a second conveyor; and a plurality of container carriers mounted on the second conveyor. Each container carrier has a support for holding and positioning a container such that a container bottom and a container side wall are oriented obliquely to the advancing direction of the second conveyor. A pickup device lifts an item from the first conveyor, transports it to the second conveyor and deposits it into a container positioned by a container carrier. A control device controls the motions of the pickup device to selectively deposit items in a flat-lying orientation on the container bottom or on the container side wall. After uprighting the containers subsequent to their charging with items, each item is either in a flat-lying orientation or in an edge-wise standing orientation with respect to the container bottom.

Abstract: In an apparatus for packaging piece goods, a piece-goods article of a first type (A) and a plurality of piece goods of a second type (B) are introduced into a common pack. The apparatus has a first conveyor (1), for feeding piece goods of the first type (A), a second conveyor (3), for feeding piece goods of a second type (B), and a packing station (7), for forming a flexible tube (72). It also has at least one feed station (2), from which the piece goods of the second type (B) are deposited by means of the second conveyor (3) such that the piece goods of the second type (B) are located one above the other at least in part and form first groups. In each case one of these first groups is deposited on a piece-goods article of the first type (A) from the second conveyor (3) by conveying means (4, 10), this resulting in the formation of a second group, which is introduced into the flexible tube (72).
Abstract: A reformation reactor that can be used especially for steam reformation of methanol for generating hydrogen in motor vehicles operated by fuel cells. A gas stream to be reformed is conducted through a reaction chamber into which a charge of a catalyst material is added. A catalyst supply container connected with the reaction chamber is so arranged that the catalyst material is automatically added from the supply container to the reaction chamber.
Abstract: A device is used to evaporate and/or superheat a hydrocarbon or a hydrocarbon/water mixture for a gas generation system of a fuel cell installation. The hydrocarbon or the hydrocarbon/water mixture flows through a medium-side region of a heat exchanger, which is in thermally conductive communication with a heat-transfer-side region of the heat exchanger. A burner is arranged upstream of the heat-transfer-side region of the heat exchanger, as seen in the direction of flow. An exhaust gas from a combustion which takes place in the burner flows through the heat-transfer-side region of the heat exchanger.

Abstract: Individually dosed active substance-containing and, in particular, aromatic-containing, film-shaped administration form, rapidly disintegrating upon contact with a liquid, wherein the aromatic is present as an internal, liposoluble phase in the form of liquid droplets distributed within an outer, solid but water-soluble phase, is characterized in that the said outer phase contains:
at least 40% (w/w) polyvinyl alcohol
0 to 30% (w/w) of a surface-active substance, and that the constituent amount of the inner phase, relative to the outer phase, is between 0.1 and 30% (w/w), in each case relative to the water-free portions.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus produce current values dependent on the position of the accelerator pedal controlling the power of one or more electric drives for moving a mobile device that is energised by a fuel cell. The time required by the drive or drives to respond to a change in the desired current value produced as a function of the position of the accelerator pedal is kept as small as possible by producing a current value—convertible into a desired torque value—which is held continuously at a value sufficient to ensure that the output voltage of the fuel cell just avoids undershooting a critical limit.
Abstract: A packaging foil is continuously withdrawn from a supply. The foil is folded around the products to be packaged. Cut-off lengths of closing profile sections are inserted with a feed unit between the two longitudinal edges of the foil. In a sealing station, the two longitudinal edges of the foil are sealed together and the foil is then sealed onto the closing profile sections. In another sealing station, transverse sealing seams are formed between the free ends of successive closing profile sections and the tube is cut approximately in the center of the transverse seams. A high packaging output is achieved as a result of the continuous withdrawal of the foil.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a circuit arrangement for a composite fuel cell system comprising a plurality of individual fuel cells connected in series, the voltage of the individual fuel cells being monitored, in which case components are present which enable the individual fuel cells to be bridged in the sense of a low-resistance parallel circuit. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for operating a circuit arrangement of this type, in which case the fuel cells are bridged if the magnitude of their voltage falls below a specific threshold value or if the sign of their voltage has changed relative to normal operation, or alternatively in which case the components are controllable switches which are driven if the composite fuel cell system is intended to be discharged.

Abstract: The parts are produced by two-component injection molding. Those regions that are to be metallized consist of a first plastic and those regions that are not to be metallized consist of a second plastic. After the entire surface of the parts has been seeded, the seeding is selectively removed with the aid of a solvent in the regions which are not to be metallized. The first plastic is insoluble and the second plastic soluble in the solvent. The selective metallization then takes place by electroless metal deposition and, if appropriate, electrodeposition of metal.
