  • Patent number: 6576402
Abstract: A metal layer, an etching resist and a photoresist are successively applied to an electrically insulating substrate. Whereupon the photoresist is patterned by photolithography in such a way that it covers a pattern of the later coarse conductor structures and the entire region of the later fine conductor structures. After the uncovered etching resist has been stripped, the photoresist is removed, whereupon the etching resist is patterned with the aid of a laser beam in such a way that it has the pattern of the fine conductor structures. The coarse conductor structures and the fine conductor structures are then formed in a common etching process.

  • Patent number: 6571983
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for dispensing flat forms, such as labels, stickers, transdermal therapeutic systems, flat medicaments for oral application, etc, in a controlled manner. According to said method, the outer contour of the flat form (103) is punched out from a strip-shaped starting material and connecting bridges (105) hold the flat form (103) and the edge of the punched layer together. These connecting bridges (105) break when the flat forms are dispensed via a deflector edge (106). The inventive method can be advantageously used for packing individual flat forms in primary packaging. The invention also relates to a specialised punching device used in the method.

  • Patent number: 6557322
Abstract: An apparatus for sealing a wrapper sleeve includes a first peripheral surface rotating about a first axis and having a generatrix parallel to and at a maximum distance from, the first axis and a radius of curvature smaller throughout the circumferential surface length than the maximum distance. A second peripheral surface rotates about a second axis oriented parallel to the first axis. The first and second peripheral surfaces define a line of contact with the wrapper sleeve therebetween. The first and second surfaces rotate in synchronism and roll on one another effecting sealing of the wrapper sleeve as the wrapper sleeve is advanced. A device displaces the first axis relative to the second axis in a direction transverse to the advancing direction of the wrapper sleeve for effecting displacement of the line of contact in the advancing direction as the first and second surfaces rotate.

  • Publication number: 20030077494
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for operating a fuel cell system. The method and apparatus can provide electrical power to a motor vehicle, the motor vehicle comprising a fuel cell, an electrical propulsion unit that is powered at least partially by the fuel cell, and a compressor to provide oxidant for the fuel cell. A target power demand may be determined based on an accelerator pedal demand. The power difference between the target power demand and the instantaneous power that is available from the fuel cell is compensated by power originating from an electrical energy storage device. Immediately after an increase in accelerator pedal demand, the electrical energy storage device first provides electrical power to drive the oxidant compressor, until a certain increase in the power available from the fuel cell has been detected. Once such an increase has been detected, the electrical energy storage device provides power to the electrical propulsion unit, such as a traction motor.

  • Patent number: 6543987
Abstract: A robot for handling products in a three-dimensional space is described. The robot comprises a base (1) on which three arms (9) are pivotably supported to pivote around three pivote axes (3) arranged in a common axes plane (4). The three axes form a triangle with three corners. Each arm is mounted on a shaft (2) of a servo motor (6). All motors (6) are connected to a controller (8). Three connecting linkages (19) connect the free ends of the arms (9) to a carrier (22) which is movable in space in all three linear dimensions and prevented from rotation around all three rotative dimensions. A telescopic fourth linkage (43) connects a gripper (30) rotatably supported on the carrier (22) by two joints (42, 46) with a fourth serve motor (48) fixed to the base (1). In the axes plane (4) the base has an opening (52) through which the fourth linkage (43) extends. The upper joint (46) of the fourth linkage (43) is on an opposite side of the axes plane (4) than the carrier (22).
