  • Patent number: 7788303
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for scanning files and directories in a distributed file system on a network of nodes. The nodes include metadata with attribute information corresponding to files and directories distributed on the nodes. In one embodiment, the files and directories are scanned by commanding the nodes to search their respective metadata for a selected attribute. At least two of the nodes are capable of searching their respective metadata in parallel. In one embodiment, the distributed file system commands the nodes to search for metadata data structures having location information corresponding to a failed device on the network. The metadata data structures identified in the search may then be used to reconstruct lost data that was stored on the failed device.

  • Patent number: 7786933
Abstract: An advanced multiple-beam GPS receiving system is achieved that is capable of simultaneously tracking multiple GPS satellites independently, detecting multiple interference signals individually, and suppressing directional gain in the antenna pattern of each beam in the interference directions. The GPS receiving system can be used for both planar and non-planar receiving arrays, including arrays that are conformally applied to the surface of a platform such as an aircraft. The GPS receiver combines spatial filtering and acquisition code correlation for enhanced rejection of interfering sources. Enhanced gain in the direction of GPS satellites and the ability to shape the beam patterns to suppress gain in the direction of interfering sources make the GPS receiving system largely insensitive to interfering and jamming signals that plague conventional GPS receivers.

  • Patent number: 7786814
Abstract: Generally, methods and apparatus are provided for deriving an integrated circuit (IC) clock signal with a frequency that is offset from the IC system clock. An offset clock having a frequency that is offset from a system clock is generated by configuring a ring oscillator in a first mode to generate the system clock having a desired frequency; and adjusting the configuration of the ring oscillator in a second mode to generate the offset clock having the frequency that is offset from the system clock. The configuration of the ring oscillator is adjusted in the second mode by adjusting (i) a power supply value applied to the ring oscillator in the second mode relative to a power supply value applied in the first mode; or (ii) a number of delay line elements that are active in the ring oscillator loop.

  • Patent number: 7787515
Abstract: A circuit for spread spectrum rate control uses a first interpolator to phase interpolate between a first signal and a second signal and generate a first output signal based on a first control signal. A second interpolator is utilized to phase interpolate between a third signal and a fourth signal and generate a second output signal based on a second control signal. A multiplexer is used to select, based on a select signal, the first output signal or the second output signal as a spread spectrum clock (SSCLK). A leap-frog interpolator control is used to generate, in synchronism with the SSCLK, the first control signal based on a first type of phase adjustment request, the second control signal based on a second type of phase adjustment request, and the select signal to switch the multiplexer between the first output signal and the second output signal after allowing for an interpolator settling time when changing the first control signal or the second control signal.

  • Publication number: 20100214000
Abstract: In today's environment class-D amplifiers are used to provide an integrated solution for applications such as powered audio devices due to their advantages in power consumption and size over more traditional analog amplifiers. Due to power output requirements, the output stages of power drivers such as class-D amplifiers require a supply voltage in excess of the technologically allowed voltage for the switches in the output stage. A level shifter is used to ensure voltages supplied to the output switches do not exceed the technological limits. An ideal level shifter should provide the optimal voltage swing to output switches under all process, supply voltage and temperature (PVT) variations. The ideal level shifter should also provide fast transitions when the control signal changes from high to low and low to high.
