  • Patent number: 11977283
Abstract: A method and apparatus for efficiently modulating light includes forming a lithium niobate waveguide with a slab region and a ridge region to confine an optical mode traversing the optical modulator under the ridge region. An electro-optic polymer is formed on a top surface of the lithium niobate waveguide with the slab region and the ridge region having dimension sufficient to support an evanescent tail of the optical mode traversing the optical modulator under the ridge region during modulation. Light is applied to an input of the lithium niobate waveguide. A drive voltage is applied to the electro-optic polymer that modulates the light with the evanescent tail so that the mode expands into the electro-optic polymer material a length that provides a desired switching voltage-length product (V?*L).

  • Patent number: 11977717
Abstract: Graphical user interface (GUI) based systems and methods are disclosed for regionizing full-size process plant displays for rendering on mobile user interface devices. A regionizer application receives a full-size process plant display that graphically represents at least a portion of a process plant that includes graphic representations of a plurality of process plant entities. The regionizer app determines display region(s) of the full-size process plant display that define corresponding view portions of the full-size process plant display. The display regions are transmitted to a mobile user interface device for rendering by a mobile display navigation app. The GUI based systems and methods can also automatically detect graphical process control loop display portions within full-size process plant displays for rendering on mobile user interface devices.

  • Patent number: 11977893
Abstract: An instruction fetch pipeline includes first, second, and third sub-pipelines that respectively include: a TLB that receives a fetch virtual address, a tag random access memory (RAM) of a physically-indexed physically-tagged set associative instruction cache that receives a predicted set index, and a data RAM that receives the predicted set index and a predicted way number that specifies a way of the entry from which a block of instructions was previously fetched. The predicted set index specifies the instruction cache set that includes the entry. The three sub-pipelines respectively initiate in parallel: a TLB access using the fetch virtual address to obtain a translation thereof into a fetch physical address that includes a tag, a tag RAM access using the predicted set index to read a set of tags, and a data RAM access using the predicted set index and the predicted way number to fetch the block of instructions.

  • Patent number: 11979454
Abstract: A system and method for transferring host data from a host server to a user device during a KVM session, using an HTML5 KVM/virtual media client running in a Web browser of a user device, is disclosed. The user device may run a Web browser that allows the user to select an image file which then appears as a new drive letter (e.g., a virtual drive) on the server system to be managed. The system and method bypass the inability of the read-only virtual drives to transfer files back to the HTML client of the user device by modifying the original files received from the user device, which are packaged and sent back to the user device via the persistent sandbox. In this manner, important log files and other data files generated from the host server may be received by the user device via a user-friendly Web browser.

  • Patent number: 11978291
Abstract: Operational data generated and used in a vehicle to control various vehicular systems is temporarily stored in a data buffer in the vehicle. A processor in the vehicle is configured to detect anomalous conditions, which can be based on predefined fault codes or user defined conditions (based on a single parameter or a combination of parameters). Whenever such an anomaly is detected, a diagnostic log is conveyed from the vehicle to a remote location. Such a log will include the detected anomaly, and buffered operational data. In at least one embodiment, the diagnostic log includes buffered operational data collected both before and after the anomaly. The diagnostic log is analyzed at the remote location to diagnose the cause of the anomalous condition so a decision can be made as to whether the vehicle requires immediate repair, or whether the repair can be scheduled at a later time.

  • Patent number: 11975568
Abstract: A self-leveling caster assembly includes a caster frame and a castor fork which is configured to pivot relative to the caster frame. A spring or other biasing mechanism biases the caster fork away from the caster frame, to maintain contact between the ground and a wheel supported by the caster fork along a travel range of the wheel. Even if a frame supporting the self-leveling caster assembly is bent, pulling the wheel away from the ground, the biased caster fork will maintain contact between the ground and the wheel, allowing continued use of a shopping cart or other wheeled apparatus including the self-leveling caster assembly.
