  • Patent number: 10755014
Abstract: An event-driven simulation system is provided. The simulation system classifies events into bypass-events and perform-events. The simulation system performs simulation by executing instructions based on the perform-events and skips simulation for the bypass-events. The simulation system produces partial simulation result data based events that are actually simulated but not the events that are skipped. A post processor is provided to generate the missing simulation result data for the bypass-events and to merge the bypass-event with the partial simulation result to generate a complete simulation result.

Abstract: A method for facilitating communications between client devices in geographically separated networks is described. First, message monitoring is conducted by each of a plurality of virtual appliances within a local network to detect a message of a first message type. Responsive to failing to locate a Media Access Control (MAC) address of a destination for the message within a prescribed table by a default gateway, one of the plurality of virtual appliances is selected for handling a forwarding of the message to a plurality of remote networks, and the message via the selected virtual appliance is forwarded to a plurality of gateways associated with a plurality of remote networks. Responsive to locating the MAC address of the destination within the table, the virtual appliance previously handling communications with the destination to forward the message to the destination.

  • Publication number: 20200266851
Abstract: A same-aperture any-frequency simultaneously transmit and receive (STAR) system includes a signal connector having a first port electrically coupled to an antenna, a second port electrically coupled to a transmit signal path, and a third port electrically coupled to receive signal path. The signal connector passes a transmit signal in the transmit signal path to the antenna and a receive signal in the receive signal path. A signal isolator is positioned in the transmit signal path to remove a residual portion of the receive signal from transmit signal path. An output of the signal isolator provides a portion of the transmit signal with the residual portion of the receive signal removed. A signal differencing device having a first input electrically coupled to the output of the signal isolator and a second input electrically coupled to the third port of the signal connector subtracts a portion of the transmit signal in the receive signal path thereby providing a more accurate receive signal.

  • Patent number: 10749795
Abstract: Described embodiments provide systems and methods for selecting communication paths for applications sensitive to bursty packet drops. A device intermediary to a client and a server may identify an application for which packets are to be communicated between the client and the server. The device may determine a sensitivity level of the application to a network disruption affecting the packets. The device may estimate, for each path between the client and the server for communicating the one or more packets, a path quality for the path indicating a likelihood that the network disruption affects the one or more packets. The device may select path for communicating the packets based on the sensitivity level of the application and the path quality. The device may communicate the packets between the client and the server via the path.

  • Patent number: 10747630
Abstract: An illustrative “VM heartbeat monitoring network” of heartbeat monitor nodes monitors target VMs in a data storage management system. Accordingly, target VMs are distributed and re-distributed among illustrative worker monitor nodes according to preferences in an illustrative VM distribution logic. Worker heartbeat monitor nodes use an illustrative ping monitoring logic to transmit special-purpose heartbeat packets to respective target VMs and to track ping responses. If a target VM is ultimately confirmed failed by its worker monitor node, an illustrative master monitor node triggers an enhanced storage manager to initiate failover for the failed VM. The enhanced storage manager communicates with the heartbeat monitor nodes and also manages VM failovers and other storage management operations in the system. Special features for cloud-to-cloud failover scenarios enable a VM in a first region of a public cloud to fail over to a second region.
