  • Patent number: 10768403
Abstract: Techniques for acquiring focused images of a microscope slide are disclosed. During a calibration phase, a “base” focal plane is determined using non-synthetic and/or synthetic auto-focus techniques. Furthermore, offset planes are determined for color channels (or filter bands) and used to generate an auto-focus model. During subsequent scans, the auto-focus model can be used to quickly estimate the focal plane of interest for each color channel (or filter band) rather than re-employing the non-synthetic and/or synthetic auto-focus techniques.

  • Patent number: 10768971
Abstract: Illustrative systems and methods enable a virtual machine (“VM”) to be powered up at any hypervisor regardless of hypervisor type, based on live-mounting VM data that was originally backed up into a hypervisor-independent format by a block-level backup operation. Afterwards, the backed up VM executes anywhere anytime without needing to find a hypervisor that is the same as or compatible with the original source VM's hypervisor. The backed up VM payload data is rendered portable to any virtualized platform. Thus, a VM can be powered up at one or more test stations, data center or cloud recovery environments, and/or backup appliances, without the prior-art limitations of finding a same/compatible hypervisor for accessing and using backed up VM data. An illustrative media agent maintains cache storage that acts as a way station for data blocks retrieved from an original backup copy, and stores data blocks written by the live-mounted VM.

  • Patent number: 10771132
Abstract: Disclosed is a MIMO system including a transmitter and a receiver, in which an overall BER characteristic is improved. The transmitter (1) maps data, distributed among transmit antennas, onto an IQ plane to generate carrier symbols, and then, applies an inter-polarization interleave processing in a time direction to the carrier symbols between the transmit antennas, to generate OFDM signals. Receiving the OFDM signals, the receiver (2) demodulates the OFDM signals to generate complex baseband signals, and after that, applies a first deinterleave processing in a time direction to the complex baseband signals to generate time deinterleaved data. Further, the receiver (2) applies a MIMO separation processing to the time deinterleaved data to generate a plurality of sets of MIMO separated data and applies a second deinterleave processing between the receive antennas to the plurality of sets of MIMO separated data, so as to generate carrier symbols.

  • Patent number: 10771377
Abstract: Internet protocol packets are statelessly identified as associated with a particular session-instance by identifying a key, or session-instance identifier, within the data (or payload) portion of a user plane packet. This identifier is specific to the session-instance and remains constant throughout the session-instance. Using this stateless identification, transmitted user plane packets are automatically routed at the transmission speed of the transmission link using a method that automatically balances the analysis processing load between network probes. The load is balanced by routing the user plane packet to a network probe that is either already analyzing the session-instance or by routing the user plane packet to a system that has processing capacity to analyze a new session-instance. The network probe then analyzes the user plane packet and the session-instance to measure the quality of the user experience of the session-instance and performance of the network.

Abstract: A method and system of diagnosing the integrity of a sealed air tube of a pedestrian protection system of a vehicle is provided. The method provides the sealed air tube having a pressure sensor connected at each end of the air tube. The air tube is constructed and arranged to be located in front fascia of a vehicle. A processor circuit is electrically connected with the pressure sensors and the processor circuit has a Fast Fourier Transform element. Natural frequencies of a frequency spectrum of the air tube are obtained when no leak is known to be present in in the air tube. Signals from the pressure sensors are transformed into the frequency domain with the Fast Fourier Transform element. A leak is determined to be present in the air tube if frequencies other than the natural frequencies exist in the frequency spectrum of the air tube.
