  • Patent number: 10090953
Abstract: A method of messaging in a communication system that operates in accordance with a standard protocol limited in the number of uniquely addressable remote terminals by a message frame that sequences the messages into a limited number of time slots includes redefining the message frame into a plurality of major frames. Each major frame includes at least one minor frame occupying a unique time slot to address a unique remote terminal. Messages are sequenced into the at least one minor frame. Each minor frame includes a set of time-division multiplexed messages. Each message in the set includes an address field identifying the address of a remote terminal and an additional message to each major frame encoding an output path. The output path encoded in each major frame and the unique time slot in the minor frame determines which remote terminal is addressed by the message.

  • Patent number: 10089538
Abstract: Cameras having wide fields of view are placed at each of the front left, front right, rear left, and rear right corners of a nominally rectangular-shaped vehicle, thereby providing a continuous region of overlapping fields of view completely surrounding the vehicle, and enabling complete 360° stereoscopic vision detection around the vehicle. In an embodiment the regions of overlapping fields of view completely surround the vehicle. The cameras are first individually calibrated, then collectively calibrated considering errors in overlapping viewing areas to develop one or more calibration corrections according to an optimization method that adjusts imaging parameters including homography values for each of the cameras, to reduce the overall error in the 360° surround view image of the continuous region surrounding the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10089811
Abstract: An electro-mechanical lock for cargo containers or similar enclosed spaces such as storage units. The locking mechanism includes a dual-ratcheting mechanism, which is normally in the locked position, and which firmly secures doors of a container or other enclosure. To unlock the device, the user obtains a temporary access code and unlocks the device, either by a wireless interface or by, for example, a key pad. The device incorporates a rolling access code algorithm that changes the access code based upon a pre-defined customer selected time period during which the code is valid. Once the validity period expires the user must obtain a new access code from a secure access code source to unlock the device. When access is desired, the user contacts a remote secure access code source, which provides the access code for the associated lock and time period.

  • Patent number: 10091128
Abstract: Dynamic history multistream long range compression (DHC) techniques are described for efficiently compressing multiple, prioritized data streams received over a channel. A history buffer is associated with each received stream and a DHC compressor dynamically allocates fixed sized history sections to and from each history buffer. In implementations, the DHC compressor makes stream history size adjustments prior to compressing a block of data and sends information identifying the change in history size to a DHC decompressor. The DHC decompressor sends signaling information to the DHC compressor that is used to ensure that the DHC decompressor can operate with a fixed amount of total history memory.

  • Patent number: 10086166
Abstract: A gas flow valve assembly. The assembly includes a cylindrical housing and a resiliently-biased valve supported substantially centrally within the housing. In the default or “off” condition, the resilient bias causes the valve to be seated on a valve seat shutting off axial flow of gas through the valve housing. When the patient breathes, negative pressure is applied to one side of the valve effective to sufficiently overcome the resilient bias imposed on the valve to move the valve off the valve seat axially (or otherwise open in another direction) within the housing, thereby allowing flow of gas through both the valve seat and the valve housing, and into the breathing circuit connected thereto. When the patient's breathing pauses and begins to exhale, the valve bias returns the valve to its default or off condition shutting off flow of gas through the valve.
