  • Patent number: 9866517
Abstract: Inter-modal messaging communication is described. In one embodiment, a method of communication includes receiving an electronic mail message to be distributed and determining whether the electronic mail message is a multi-modal distribution message. Respective portions of the message may be separated for each mode of distribution. The separated portions may represent portions to be delivered by SMS messaging and facsimile, for example. The method further includes the steps of transmitting a short message comprising the short message portion of the mail message and establishing a conversation comprising conversation attributes. The conversation attributes are referenced, in certain aspects, to maintain a conversation between an originator of the received electronic mail message and a distribution address of short message portion of the mail message. For example, upon receipt of a short message in reply, the short message may be forwarded to an originator of the conversation.

  • Patent number: 9856621
Abstract: Method for construction of a wind turbine generator on a slip formed concrete on a construction/deployment dry dock barge and delivery of WTG and foundation to the installation site as a complete unit. A split hull hydraulic dump scow facilitates the slip form construction and deployment of the slip-formed gravity anchor(s). The barge is sunk as a dry dock to a draft that permits the WTG/WTG foundation to be floated off. The free floating WTG foundation is ballasted with sea water to its operating draft. The tension legs from the gravity anchors are attached to the WTG foundation. The sea water is then removed from the WTG foundation. The gravity anchor(s) is constructed from slip formed concrete on a split hull hydraulic dump scow and deployed to the installation site, with tension legs attached for deployment and attachment to the WTG platform.

  • Patent number: 9857052
Abstract: An optical element for uniformly dispersing light from a plurality of linearly aligned LEDs includes a body made of a transparent polymeric material, in which the body has a longitudinally extending center portion having a transverse cross-sectional profile that is uniform along the length of the optical element, and legs extending away from opposite sides of the center portion and extending downwardly to define a recess. The center portion has a top surface and a bottom surface that together define a longitudinally extending lens portion that collects light from the LEDs and refracts the light to produce a desired beam pattern. Uniformly and closely spaced apart transverse grooves can be provided on the top surface of the longitudinally extending lens portion to uniformly spread light on an illuminated surface and eliminate the appearance of dark and light areas on the lens portion when it is illuminated by the LEDs.

  • Patent number: 9860445
Abstract: When employing a multi-node computing architecture for commercial articulated vehicles to generate a composite surround view of the vehicle, each processing node is associated with a vehicle segment. Each node has its own processor, memory and sensors. A master-slave relationship exists in the architecture. The segment processors collect, format, manage and package their local information. Communication between nodes is controlled by the master node, which can limit, adjust, subsample and alter the information and information flow from the slave nodes. The slave nodes can be freely recombined, using a pre-established communication standard or a format agreed upon at combination time.

  • Patent number: 9860473
Abstract: The present invention includes a security-monitoring platform (SMP) adapted to automatically synchronize with the monitored security systems and their respective electronic monitoring security devices. The SMP includes a synchronization module designed to communicate with the security systems using their respective application programming interfaces. The synchronization module retrieves the information for each electronic monitoring security device in each security system and determines whether the electronic monitoring security device information is known and up to date on the SMP. If an electronic monitoring security device has been added, removed, or modified, the synchronization module updates the SMP accordingly. The synchronization module automatically runs maintenance on the SMP to guarantee that the SMP can provide efficient and effective security measures.

  • Patent number: 9860195
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for providing a service to bypass carrier grade network address translation (NAT), or CGN. A first and second range of private IPv4 addresses are generated for mapping to public IPv4 addresses. Subscribers to the service are provided terminals with a status code which indicates its status with respect to the service. The terminal is assigned a private internet protocol (IP) subnet within the first range of private IPv4 addresses, if the status code is indicative of a bypass status and the terminal identifies a bypass device that requires access to inbound traffic from the public network. Each bypass device is assigned a private IPv4 address from the first range, and the bypass device's private IPv4 address is mapped to a public IPv4 address. Inbound traffic having a matching public IPv4 destination address is subsequently directed to the bypass device.
