Abstract: An ejecting device for a card connector includes a base, a slide member, a first ejecting spring, a second ejecting spring, and retaining means. The base has an insertion slot having an opening end. The slide member is slidably mounted in the insertion slot of the base. The first ejecting spring has two ends contacting against the base and the slide member respectively. The second ejecting spring has two ends fixed to the base and the slide member respectively. The retaining means is mounted between the base and the slide member. Accordingly, the first and second springs can cause double ejections of the slide member to lengthen the stroke of the slide member, thus enabling the user to operate the card connector conveniently.

Abstract: A short-circuit-proof card connector is composed of a shell and at least two (first and second) terminal groups. The shell includes an opening, at least two receiving spaces for receiving a first card and a second card respectively, two first guiding faces formed at bilateral sides of the first receiving space, and two second guiding faces formed at bilateral sides of the second receiving space. The second terminal group close to the opening has a power terminal and a grounded terminal. A first interval is defined between the first and second guiding faces close to the power terminal. A second interval is defined between the first and second guiding faces close to the grounded terminal. The first interval is smaller than the second interval such that an electrically conductive surface of the first card does not touch the power terminal to avoid short circuit while the first card is inserted.

Abstract: A terminal-protective card connector includes a shell and a pressing member. The shell includes at least two groups of terminals mounted to the shell. The second group of terminals each have a part elastically rising upward and backward. The pressing member includes a plurality for elongated slots formed therein and a plurality of pressing points each defined under a front end of each elongated slot. The pressing member is provided with two ends pivotally mounted in the shell for pivoting movement. One group of terminals extends through bottom sides and then top sides of the elongated slots respectively, having a part contacting against and supporting the pressing points to enable the pressing member to rise for a predetermined height. Thus, a specific group of terminals can be optionally pressed to avoid deformation or short circuit resulted from impact of or contact with uncorresponding cards to be protected.

Abstract: A heat pipe includes a tubular member, a capillary wick, and a liquid. The tubular member has a plurality of capillary ditches formed on an internal sidewall thereof. The capillary wick is disposed on the internal sidewall of the tubular member and located on openings of the capillary ditches for covering and sealing the ditches. The liquid is contained inside the tubular member. The capillary wick and ditches provide the liquid with larger cross-sectional area for the capillary action to enhance guidance of the liquid and to further enhance the thermally conductive efficiency.

Abstract: A terminal-protective card connector includes a shell and a pressing member. The shell includes at least two groups of terminals mounted to the shell. The second group of terminals each have a part elastically rising upward and backward. The pressing member includes a plurality for elongated slots formed therein and a plurality of pressing points each defined under a front end of each elongated slot. The body of the second terminal group runs upward through bottom sides of the slots to be exposed outside the pressed plate. The pressed plate is supported by the body of the second terminal group, having a plurality of upright walls spaced from one another for effectively blocking various erroneous insertions of various kinds of cards, thus avoiding damage or malfunction of the card connector.

At least one of the action portions and the jacking portions are arranged in uneven seriation. While the card is inserted, the slidable carrier can be pushed backwards and the jacking portions jack up the action portions serially to enable the seriated contact between the contact pins and corresponding terminals of the card.

Abstract: A card connector capable of seriated contact with an electronic card includes a shell having a plurality of contact pins each having an action portion, at least one slidable carrier having a plurality of jacking portions, and an inserting/extracting means. At least one of the action portions and the jacking portions are arranged in uneven seriation. While the card is inserted, the slidable carrier can be pushed backwards and the jacking portions jack up the action portions serially to enable the seriated contact between the contact pins and corresponding terminals of the card.

The slidable frame has a pressing portion and a jacking portion respectively for pressing and jacking up terminals of the card connector. While a card is inserted, the terminals will be jacked up only if necessary and keep pressed to avoid unnecessary contact and impact resulted in deformation incurring failure of data access and malfunction of the card connector or the inserted card and to prolong the life of the card connector.

Abstract: A push—push card connector includes a terminal connector, a cover shell, a slidable frame, an injecting/ejecting means, and an elastic member. The slidable frame is slidably received in a lateral guide channel, a first guide channel, and a second guide channel, which are formed respectively at bilateral sides of the cover shell via a lateral guide member thereof, a first guide member thereof, and a second guide member thereof for slidable movement along the guide channels by an external force. The lateral guide channel and member are close to an imaginary middle line, which is defined to extend through a front end, a center, and a rear of the slidable frame, and the elastic member generates resilience working on the second guide channel. Thus, the slidable frame is not subject to deflection during injection/ejection of a card to facilitate smooth operation.

Abstract: An all-in-one card connector is comprised of a base, a circuit board, a plurality of terminals, and a plurality of pins. The circuit board is mounted on the base, including a plurality of contacts, which are sectioned into at least two groups respectively matching at least two kinds of electronic cards and partially electrically interconnected therebetween, and a plurality of pin solder joints provided at a rear end thereof and respectively electrically connected to some of the contacts of the circuit board. The terminals are electrically connected to the contacts. The pins are welded to the pin solder joints. Accordingly, each pin is shared by some of the contacts such that the requirement for the number of the pins can be reduced, and further, the size or width of the card connector can be lessened.

Abstract: A card connector is comprised of a base, a stop member, an elastic member, and at least one retaining tongue. The base bilaterally includes two lateral frames and a plurality of terminals. The stop member is pivotably mounted to the two lateral frames for pivoting movement between a stopping position and an entrance position. The elastic member is mounted between one of said lateral frames and said stop member. The retaining tongue includes a retaining portion for movement between a releasing position and a retaining position by insertion or extraction of the card, thereby optionally jamming the stop member, namely, while the card is correctly inserted, the card can pass through the stop member; while the card is incorrectly inserted, the stop member stops the card from entrance to further protect the terminals from damage resulted from the impact of the card.

Accordingly, the inserted memory card can be pushed to touch the resilient contact member to enable the resilient contact member of the card connector to certainly detect the write protection of the memory card.

Abstract: A card connector capable of locking/unlocking an electronic card is comprised of a shell and at least one locking member. The shell includes a receiving space inside, at least one slidable member mounted in the receiving space, and a spring mounted between the slidable guide member and the shell. The locking member includes an elastic piece mounted on said shell and a hook-like piece mounted to a distal end of the elastic piece. Accordingly, while the card is inserted into the card connector, the card can be locked by the locking member by that the hook-like piece securely hooks an external side of the card or unlocked by that the hook-like piece is pushed aside to enable the spring to push the slidable guide member to further push the card outwards for extraction.

Abstract: A card adapter for accommodating a memory card and connecting an external device is composed of a frame member, two cover plates covered on the frame member, an internal frame disposed inside the frame member and having a plurality of terminals, a lateral section and a rear section that both define a reception space together with a front edge and a lateral edge of the frame member, two guide grooves respectively disposed on the lateral edge of the frame member and the lateral section of the internal frame, an adapting circuit board electrically connected with the terminals of the internal frame, and an terminal connector mounted at a rear end of the frame member and is connected with the adapting circuit board. Accordingly, the card adapter of the present invention is structurally simplified and low in production cost.

The base is mounted closely between the two plate-like members. Each of the terminals is mounted on the plate-like member and extends into the opening to be electrically connected with contact pads of an inserted electronic card.

The sealing member that is identical to the opening in number includes an intersection intersected with the opening for the predetermined depth, a solder ditch formed between the sealing member and the main body, and an annular groove formed between the peripheral wall and an outer periphery of the sealing member. The solder unit that is identical to the opening in number is disposed inside the solder ditch.
