    Abstract: Heater electrodes and a sensor electrode both in a film shape are formed on the top surface of an insulation sheet without overlapping with each other. The occupant is detected based on the impedance between the sensor electrode and the vehicle. As a result, it is possible to warm the occupant seated on the seat efficiently and detect the occupant with accuracy.

    Abstract: An air-bag module mounting structure where a fixing part 88 of a hub 80 of a steering wheel is fastened to a fastened part 24 of a horn plate 20 to which an air-bag module is fixed. A body cover 30 includes a positioning pin 31 protruding toward the hub 80 and a hook 38 protruding from a side surface 37 of the positioning pin 31. The hub 80 includes an insertion hole 84 into which the positioning pin 31 is inserted and with which the hook 38 engages; and a stopper 87 that prevents the horn plate 20 from moving, because of a gap d2 existing between the insertion hole 84 and the positioning pin 31, when the fixing part 88 and the fastened part 24 are fastened together. The gap d2 allows the positioning pin 31 to pass through the insertion hole 84 while the positioning pin 31 is bent due to a contact between the hook 38 and the insertion hole 84.

The airbag 2 includes a bag member 21 that is formed of a base cloth 2a, and a plurality of pleats 22 that are formed at the bag member 21. The pleats 22 have a crease portion 23 in a front-back direction of the vehicle to allow the gas to escape to the crease portion 23 upon loading from the front-back direction of the vehicle when the bag member 21 is inflated and deployed.

    Abstract: To prevent the tilt of a locking member with respect to a spool even when the spool is tensioned by a seat belt in case of emergency. A second EA plate support member 16 that is integrated with a locking base 19 has a supported portion 21 having a cylindrical shape. The supported portion 21 is fitted into a locking base tilt prevention support portion 20 of a spool 9 and is supported so as to be rotatable relative to the locking base tilt prevention support portion 20 while the tilt of the supported portion 21 with respect to the spool 9 is being prevented. In this manner, even when the spool 9 is tensioned upward by a large tensional force of the seat belt 4 in case of emergency, the tilt of the center axis of the locking base 19 with respect to the center axis of the spool 9 is prevented.
