  • Patent number: 6772426
Abstract: The disk carrier device of the present invention comprises a carrier gear rotation-driven by a motor, control members driven by the motor via this carrier gear, for moving in one direction or in the other direction according to the direction of rotation of the motor, and a transmission gear which transmits the rotation of the motor to a feed roller. A rotation control section and a roller position control section are provided in the control member, respectively. At the time of ejecting the disk, with the movement of the control member, the feed roller is made to approach the disk guide by the roller position control section, and then the transmission gear is shifted to the transmission position by the rotation control section.

  • Patent number: 6751180
Abstract: When a roller holder attached to a floating chassis of the disk player rotates to raise a carrier roller from a disk non-carrying position to a disk carrying position, a convex portion of the roller holder is engaged with concave portions of the main chassis from above so as to fix the floating chassis to the main chassis in the back and forth directions as well as the right and left directions. The roller holder further rotates about a fulcrum to raise the floating chassis. As a result, the floating chassis is made to abut against another part of the main chassis from below to fix the floating chassis to the main chassis in the vertical direction.

  • Patent number: 6741541
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to simplify a structure for alternatively transmitting power to a pickup moving mechanism and a disk loading mechanism by a common motor. A worm gear is attached to the rotary shaft of a motor, a worm wheel meshing this worm gear is supported on a mobile plate 8 that is movable along the rotary shaft of the motor, and first and second gears which are positioned in right and left of the worm wheel to be alternatively capable to engage with the worm wheel are arranged. The pickup moving mechanism is operated by the mesh of the first gear and the worm wheel, and the disk loading mechanism is operated by the mesh of the second gear and the worm wheel.

  • Patent number: 6711114
Abstract: A disc transfer apparatus, which relies on a spring force for inserting a disc and on a motor for removing the disc, is provided to prevent the motor from acting as a load when the disc is inserted. A holding mechanism is provided in the disc transfer apparatus for holding a control gear included in a power transmission path (from a two-way motor for moving a pickup and for moving a push-back member), with respect to an upstream gear and a downstream gear without meshing therewith. The control gear is released from the holding mechanism by ejecting means.
