  • Patent number: 4885648
Abstract: A cassette tape recorder wherein a tape cassette ejecting mechanism and a magnetic head shifting mechanism are alternatively driven by a common driving mechanism of a simple construction including a tape feeding drive motor. The tape recorder includes a selectively engaging mechanism which operates by a predetermined amount when actuated, and a driving force transmitting member which is operated by the selectively engaging mechanism and moved between first and second positions by a head holding mechanism. When a tape cassette is to be ejected, the driving force transmitting member is moved to the first position in which it operates an ejecting mechanism. When a tape cassette is loaded into an operative position, the driving force transmitting member is moved to the second position in which it operates a head shifting mechanism to shift a magnetic head and a pinch roller to their operative positions at which they are thereafter held by the head holding mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4875113
Abstract: An automatic stopping device for a tape feeding apparatus which can assuredly detect that a tape is wound to its last end and can stop feeding of the tape not only in a reproduction mode but also in a fast feeding mode of the tape feeding apparatus. Stopping of rotation of a reel shaft is detected by a frictionally cooperating cam follower which is thereupon disengaged from a circular cam and engaged with an operating element both on a turning force transmitting member to pivot a pivotal member so that the turning force transmitting member on the pivotal member is moved out of a turning force transmitting route from a capstan shaft to the reel shaft and a switch is operated to deenergize a motor connected to the capstan shaft. After stopping of the motor, a movable member may be manually moved to a rest mode position in which the cam follower is engaged with the circular cam again.

  • Patent number: 4809101
Abstract: An automatic stopping mechanism for a tape feeding device which can detect an end of a tape to operate while the tape feeding device is in any of reproducing, recording, fast feeding and rewinding modes. In any operation mode, a driving route from a motor to a reel receiver is effective to tend to continuously rotate the reel receiver. Upon stopping of the reel receiver by an end of a tape, a rockable member is rocked to and remains at a position at which rotation of an cam disk interposed in the driving route is stopped by the rockable member and then a releasing member on which the cam disk is mounted is pivoted to move the cam disk out of the driving route, thereby stopping rotation of the reel receiver.

  • Patent number: 4800451
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an automatic reverse mechanism for a tape recorder. The mechanism can automatically reverse the A and B sides of a magnetic tape. Rotary forces from capstans provided on both sides of a magnetic head are transmitted to their corresponding reel shafts, which are provided in a pair symmetrically relative to a magnetic head, by way of their corresponding rotation transmitting members. Based on results of a detection by a mechanical detector capable of detecting a stop of one of the reel shafts, a rotary force is transmitted to the other reel shaft via its corresponding rotation transmitting member by a changeover bar so that the running direction of the magnetic tape is reversed automatically.

  • Patent number: 4788610
Abstract: An automatic recording apparatus which is simplified in construction and reduced in number of parts and in overall size without having a bad influence on an automatic recording function thereof. In the apparatus, a stand-by mode selecting operating member manually pushed in to an actuated position is arrested by an arresting member. In the actuated position of the operating member, rotation of a rotary member is stopped and a reel receiver is disconnected from the rotary member. After lapse of a preset time, rotation of the rotary member is started again. Within one full rotation of the rotary member, the arresting member is moved out of arresting engagement with the operating member by a turning force of the rotary member so that the operating member is returned to its home position, thereby allowing the automatic recording apparatus to start a recording operation.
