Abstract: A radial tire (1) for motor vehicle, comprising: a crown (2) surmounted by a tread (3) provided with at least one radially outer part (3a) intended to come into contact with the road; two inextensible beads (4), two sidewalls (5) connecting the beads (4) to the tread (3), a carcass reinforcement (6) passing into the two sidewalls (5) and anchored in the beads (4); the crown (2) being reinforced by a crown reinforcement or belt (7) placed circumferentially between the carcass reinforcement (6) and the tread (3); a radially inner elastomer layer (3b, 8) known as a “underlayer”, having a formulation different from the formulation of the radially outer elastomer layer (3a), this underlayer being placed between the radially outer layer (3a) of the tread (3) and the belt (7), wherein said underlayer comprises 50 to 100 phr of a copolymer based on stirene and on butadiene, preferably an SBR having in particular a Tg above ?40° C., a reinforcing filler and between 10 and 150 phr of a platy filler.
Abstract: A tire comprising at least one carcass-type reinforcing structure formed of at least one layer of mutually parallel reinforcing elements making an angle, with the circumferential direction, of strictly less than 75° at least in the region of maximum axial width of the tire and of strictly less than 65° at least in the equatorial plane anchored on each side of the tire to a bead, each bead extending radially outwards in the form of a sidewall, the sidewalls radially towards the outside meeting a tread, and comprising, under the tread, a crown reinforcing structure consisting of at least one layer of reinforcing elements making angles of between 10° and 60° with the circumferential direction and known as a working layer, radially on the outside of the carcass-type reinforcing structure.

Abstract: Curable elastomer compositions and cured and/or curable articles made therefrom, the curable elastomer composition comprising an essentially unsaturated rubber elastomer, between 0.5 and 25 phr of a metal salt of a carboxylic acid, an effective amount of a peroxide curing agent for curing the elastomer composition and between 0.1 and 10. phr of a hysteresis-decreasing multifunctional curing coagent that decreases the hysteresis of the cured elastomer composition, wherein the hysteresis is measured using a rotorless shear rheometer as a loss tangent at 150° C., 41.85% strain and 10 Hz. The hysteresis of such a cured composition may decrease by at least 15% or alternatively, by at least 25%. The elastomer is useful in tires including, for example, the sidewall supports, the carcass reinforcement and the tread.
