Abstract: It is an object to provide a method for producing magnetic microparticles, which produces monodispersed magnetic microparticles, causes no clogging with a product due to self-dischargeability, requires no great pressure, and is excellent in productivity. In the method for producing magnetic microparticles, at least two fluids are used, and at least one kind of the fluids is a fluid containing at least one kind of magnetic raw material, and at least one kind of the fluids other than the above fluid is a fluid containing at least one kind of a magnetic microparticles-separating agent, and the respective fluids join together in a thin film fluid formed between two processing surfaces arranged to be opposite to each other so as to be able to approach to and separate from each other, at least one of which rotates relative to the other, whereby magnetic microparticles are separated in the thin film fluid to obtain the magnetic microparticles.
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and methodology for detecting anomalies in cables within a tire structure. A plurality of magnetic field sensitive sensors are aligned within a magnetic field provided by a magnet. The alignment of sensors and magnet is such that flux lines from the magnet are generally parallel to the plane occupied by the magnetic sensors. A tire cable anomaly present between the magnetic field sensitive sensors produces a detectable difference in signals produced by the magnetic field sensitive sensors as a result of the formation of perpendicular flux patterns produced by the anomaly. A signal processing circuit receiving input signals from the sensors evaluates differences between the signals from each of the plurality of sensors by pairing the output signal from each sensor with the output signal from each of the others of the plurality of sensors and produces an output signal upon the differences meeting selected criteria.

Abstract: A method is presented for predicting a noise/comfort performance in a cabin of a vehicle with a body-shell and a suspension system linked to the body-shell by at least one point of attachment, with the vehicle rolling at a given speed on a rolling device with a macrorough rolling surface. The method includes: determining a global transfer function of the body-shell, determining a global admittance of the body-shell, determining an impedance of the suspension system, determining, while rolling on the macrorough rolling surface, lockup loads of the suspension system, and combining together the global transfer function of the body-shell, the global admittance of the body-shell, the impedance of the suspension system, and the lockup loads of the suspension system to obtain a prediction of noise/comfort performance (P) inside the cabin.

Abstract: Tires in use wear in a host of ways. One negative manner in which tires, especially truck tires, may wear is in an irregular fashion. When this phenomenon happens, the tread of the tire may become unusable, forcing the user to replace the tire, which is undesirable. This patent application poses a new and useful way of preventing irregular wear involving the addition of a predetermined configuration of pipes, increasing the useful life of the tire tread.

Abstract: Equipment for treating a matter to be treated more stably and uniformly between approaching/receding treatment planes in a treatment section where at least one plane can rotate relatively to the other plane. Treatment is performed by introducing a first fluid containing a matter to be treated between the treatment planes, introducing a second fluid containing the matter to be treated between the treatment planes from a channel independent from the channel which introduced the first fluid and communicating with the space between the treatment planes and then mixing and stirring them between the treatment planes. The outlet portion of the channel introducing the second fluid to the space between the treatment planes is provided with a plurality of split channels.
Abstract: A method for measuring inflation pressure of a vehicle tire involves measuring a compressive stress. The tire includes a rubber mass, referred to as an interior rubber, delimited by an internal surface in contact with air inside the tire and an external surface in contact with a carcass ply of the tire. The compressive stress in the interior rubber of the tire, between the internal and external surfaces of the interior rubber, is measured and the inflation pressure is deduced from this compressive stress.
