Patent number: 11563449Abstract: Examples described herein utilize multi-layer neural networks, such as multi-layer recurrent neural networks to estimate an error-reduced version of encoded data based on a retrieved version of encoded data (e.g., data encoded using one or more encoding techniques) from a memory. The neural networks and/or recurrent neural networks may have nonlinear mapping and distributed processing capabilities which may be advantageous in many systems employing a neural network or recurrent neural network to estimate an error-reduced version of encoded data for an error correction coding (ECC) decoder, e.g., to facilitate decoding of the error-reduced version of encoded data at the decoder. In this manner, neural networks or recurrent neural networks described herein may be used to improve or facilitate aspects of decoding at ECC decoders, e.g., by reducing errors present in encoded data due to storage or transmission.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2021Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Micron Technology, Inc.Inventors: Fa-Long Luo, Jaime Cummins

Patent number: 11561811Abstract: A service manages a plurality of virtual machine instances for low latency execution of user codes. The plurality of virtual machine instances can be configured based on a predetermined set of configurations. One or more containers may be created within the virtual machine instances. In response to a request to execute user code, the service identifies a pre-configured virtual machine instance suitable for executing the user code. The service can allocate the identified virtual machine instance to the user, create a new container within an instance already allocated to the user, or re-use a container already created for execution of the user code. When the user code has not been activated for a time-out period, the service can invalidate allocation of the virtual machine instance destroy the container. The time from receiving the request to beginning code execution is less than a predetermined duration, for example, 100 ms.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2021Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Timothy Allen Wagner

Patent number: 11561909Abstract: Technology is disclosed for allocating PCIe bus bandwidth to storage commands in a peer-to-peer environment. A non-volatile storage system has a peer-to-peer connection with a host system and a target device, such as a GPU. A memory controller in the storage system monitors latency of PCIe transactions that are performed over a PCIe bus in order to transfer data for NVMe commands. The PCIe transactions may involve direct memory access (DMA) of memory in the host system or target device. There could be a significant difference in transaction latency depending on what memory is being accessed and/or what communication link is used to access the memory. The memory controller allocates bandwidth on a PCIe bus to the NVMe commands based on the latencies of the PCIe transactions. In an aspect, the memory controller groups the PCIe addresses based on the latencies of the PCIe transactions.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2021Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Western Digital Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Judah Gamliel Hahn, Shay Benisty, Ariel Navon

Patent number: 11561717Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to methods of operating storage devices. The storage device comprises a controller comprising first random access memory (RAM1), second random access memory (RAM2), and a storage unit divided into a plurality of streams. When a write command is received to write data to a stream, change log data is generated and stored in the RAM1, the previous delta data for the stream is copied from the RAM2 to the RAM1 to be updated with the change log data, and the updated delta data is copied to the RAM2. The delta data stored in the RAM2 is copied to the storage unit periodically. The controller tracks which delta data has been copied to the RAM2 and to the storage unit. During a power failure, the delta data and the change log data are copied from the RAM1 or the RAM2 to the storage unit.Type: GrantFiled: May 26, 2020Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Western Digital Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Daniel L. Patent number: 11564177Abstract: Optimal determination of transmit power level for MLDs in A Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). An AP can establish synchronous downlink multi-link operations with another MLD. A first link and a second link between the AP and the MLD both operate in a same sub-band. The AP can then determine the same power level for both the first link and second link. After establishing the same power level, the AP can then determine a second power level for the first link and a third power level for the second link. The second power level is greater than the third power level. The AP can then provide the second power level for the first link and the third power level for the second link.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2021Date of Patent: January 24, 2023Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Sivadeep Reddy Kalavakuru, John Martin Blosco, Fred Jay Anderson, Ardalan Alizadeh, Gautam D.
