Thus, the accuracy of DNS evaluation is improved.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage devices for manufacturing patient-specific bolus for use in targeted radiotherapy treatment. Based on dose calculations without a bolus and based on three-dimensional scan data of a patient, the example system generates a model of a bolus for targeting radiotherapy treatment to a planning target volume or target region within the patient. The system can perform several iterations to generate a resulting model for the bolus. Then, the system can generate instructions for controlling a three-dimensional printer to generate the bolus that conforms to the patient's skin surface while also specifically targeting the planning target volume for the radiotherapy treatment. In this way, the amount of radiotherapy treatment administered to other tissue is reduced, while the costs, time, and human involvement in creating the bolus are significantly reduced.

    Abstract: Determining maximum transmit power by a local node. A method includes identifying one-hop neighbor nodes of the local node in the mesh network. One or more threshold maximum changes in interference caused by the local node increasing its transmit power for each of the one-hop neighbor nodes of the local node are identified. A plurality of power change values are identified. Each power change value in the plurality of power change values corresponds to a power change at the local node that would cause one of the threshold maximum changes in interference to occur at a corresponding one-hop neighbor node of the local node. A lowest power change value from among the plurality of power change values is identified. As a result, power transmitted by the local node is increased, while limiting an increase in power transmitted by the local node to no more than the lowest power change value.

    Abstract: During provisioning of a biometric device, a hardware root of trust is established between the biometric device and a server. The biometric device includes a cryptographic processor with a first encryption key stored in secure storage. The first encryption key is used to establish a mutually authenticated communication channel with the server. A set of additional encryption keys between the device and the server are established via the communication channel. Biometric data generated by the biometric device is encrypted using the additional keys and digitally signed. The server receives the encrypted and signed data via the communication channel and verifies the signature. Once the signature is verified, the biometric data is then decrypted. The server then processes the decrypted biometric data. Data that does not arrive via the communication channel, that fails the verification, or that fails decryption is deleted or disregarded.
